Dear Members,

I am contemplating to step down as Co-Admin of the Forum and to continue as an ordinary member as before. There is too much pressure to look after the forum day to day activities to ensure the forum stays active and popular.
I leave it to the individual members to asses my short stint as Co-Admin of SLEF.
I will be actively contributing to the forum and specially my thread TA&C in charts section.
I must thank Sstar for supporting and Jiggy for nominating me.
During my stint i may have hurt some and believe me it was to safeguard the SLEF from falling apart.
I also must thank the members who follow my posts for supporting during thick and thin.

It is time for Sstar & Management of SLEF to look into a new Co-Admin to replace me.
During this transition period please cooperate with Sstar.

Thank you & kind regards

SHARK a.k.a TAH

I honestly believe that his intention is just because of the unusual activities of a few new members here. I suppose that type of behavior might be directly affected for his decision. He is having a good reputation at here and he always exposed his personal social media contact details for everyone to help at any time by any means. I never noticed that type of straightforward well known person here. We should not force him to stay as Co-Admin, but we can help him to stay by helping in various ways. The other senior intelligent members also require to look after him because they should not stay away while he is working with a heavy pressure. The friend in need is a friend indeed. He needed to do his own work also in a relaxed environment. All the other members are also better to contribute for this moment to appreciate his brilliant work here. Thank you Shark for your kind & effective guidance.   Smile

Dear Shark,

First, if this decision was made as it affected your Family life or such high priority aspect, definetely your decision is correct.

If this decision was taken because you think your haven't done justice to your role as Co-Admin based on what happened in the forum within last few days, you are very wrong. A Co-Admin is not expected to look into each and every post made in the forum every minute and that is why a set of Moderators are there - that too may not gurantee an absence of such situations as posting happens in real time.

However, i too think you can add more value by posting in the forum and in your very own TA&C in charts section. It's a special talent you have got and that's the reason why people such as myself come to this forum.

However, that doesn't mean you need to step down from your Co Admin role but spend far less time on general Moderator role tasks which you spent a lot of time doing after taking the Co Admin role. Now there is Dougieboy, Top Trader and a few more, who can handle these tasks well. So empower them and give responsibility to them. i'm sure they will do justice to their role.

Your contribution is much valued by everyone and although i have a differnet opinion about the foum on which you should be in, your contribution to the society will always be admired and remembered.

Sashimaal

Whether you appear as SHARK or TAH , here or there you are a valuable member for the stock investors in Sri Lanka. Your valuable contribution is highly appreciated. May you continue this good work and you are not responsible for any other persons comments or mis-behaviour. Today people are not taught to behave in public places with dignity. That is not your fault.

This forum has been established so that some one can EARN money. By that I don't mean the users. The owner of this forum earns from each visit we do, and each post we view. They earn via advertising.
Just googling got me this
http://www.netvaluator.com/www/srilankaequity.com

[ie : srilankaequity.com estimated worth is: $17,207.52 and have a daily income of around $28.68. ]

So why should some one put in free time and effort to make the owner rich?

I think they have paid much more than that to buy the forum owning company. I think their daily cost must be much more than $28 per day. So the current owners are doing a social service by maintaining this forum. We must thank them and their companies for advertising here.  We also must thank all the moderators and members for keeping this Forum No 1 discussion platform for Stock Market related discussions in Sri Lanka.

Shark being the most respected and co-admin of the forum management team will have the choice of appointing his own successor as per the Forum Guideline set forth by the owning company. Past moderator and admins also can be appointed to this position. Shark will continue to contribute to the forum and most likely to be elevated to a much senior position within the forum management. We must wish him good luck on his new appointment.

Though I'm a new comer, within few days I understood his great role in this forum. I think he done his duty best on my knowledge.
But if you, hoping to resign due to some chaos done recently by some new members, you're lost.
"Don't give up. There are too many nay-sayers out there who will try to discourage you. Don't listen to them. The only one who can make you give up is yourself."
- Sidney Sheldon

"“People are often unreasonable, jealous, self-centered; Forgive them anyway...If you are honest, people may cheat, but be honest anyway... What you spend years to build, someone could destroy overnight. Build anyway... The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow. Do good anyway... You see in the final analysis it is between you and God; it never was between you and them anyway...”

Hats off for Mr. Shark ..

Hats off for Mr. Shark ..

100% agree with you. I'm also a new comer for the market & slef. More things to learn like the unlimited ocean. I observed until the yesterday midnight how the things going on here. Some of the members are coming, asking, promoting, criticizing, demoting, silencing, disappearing. From here onwards the moderators are required to get active. They can't just stay away while holding a reputation with a responsible position here. One or two co-admin couldn't do everything here around the clock and it will be a headache to them because they all are humans. Specially the moderators should be fully loaded with all the powerful rights to get any action against the misuse of here. Now the forum is going on smoothly without any problem. All the senior genius members are also welcome to monitor the forum in a good and professional manner. Smile
