Major split in Sri Lanka's ruling party is anticipated ahead of presidential election

Nov 20, Colombo: Sri Lanka's political circles anticipate a major split in the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), the main constituent party of ruling United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) ahead of the filing of nominations for the presidential elections.

Media reports quoting United National Party (UNP) parliamentarian Ajith P. Perera said that General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Maithripala Sirisena would quit the party with about 20 leaders of the party.

MP Perera has said that the UNP will support a common candidate. The common candidate would be either UNP leader Ranil Wickremasinghe or SLFP secretary Maithripala Sirisena, media reports speculated.

It has also been reported that the government had failed to compel former UPFA Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera to cross over from UNP to join the government.

Websites handled by Samaraweera have restarted to criticize the government vehemently after a lapse of several weeks.

Political split in SLFP is mainly because of personal gains

Evey one is trying to get maximum to him and his own family
some freind who help to make money

Still there are Very few politician who try do some thing for the country according
to ideology they believe

I name few of them

Ranil Wicramasingha ,Gotabaya Rajapaksa,, Patali champika,
Athuraliye Rathana, Omalpe Sobitha, All Hela Urumaya and Jvp people.,Most of TNA members, Wickrama Bahu ............

Who are others ?

Most of UNP and SLFP Politicians work for their persona and family benefits

This political culture has been developed after 1977

The main reason for the present political crisis facing today is above political culture . developed after 1977.

This this problem aggravated after war Victory sacrificing lives of youth of rural poor

Who is main person responsible for this unfortunate situation ?

All name given above work for personal personal gains Not for the country

If they love this country and try do genuine work thye should have requested  MR to hold election after completion of legal period.

It seems they have given a LANU to MR and Basil

Their problem is " RAJAPAKASALA THANIYEN KANWA APIT DENNE  NE or APITA DENNE TIKAY"

Will history repeat itself ?

- Last time when S B Dissanayake -then Secretary of Sri Lanka Freedom Party- crossed over with some key ministers, that ended Chandrika government.

- This time, Maithripala Sirisena -present Secretary of Sri Lanka Freedom Party- is due to leave Rajapaksa government with some key ministers, and what will that do to the Rajapaksa government?

Still we have few politicians who try to work according to ideology the believe. They are honest politicians

But most of politicians  in UNP and SLFP do politics to make maximum amount of money for their families

Now this political culture facing  inevitable crisis

"KUMBALA MASI KEWANAM DUKA WIDAPAN BALALO"

The problem in like BOOR Dynasty in France they do same mistake again and again
