Minister Sujiva Serasinghe said we have to import IT professional from India in order to give a fight to American supremacy in IT field.

"India has very high standard in IT industry.
We so far have failed in challenging America face to face in IT industry because until now those expert groups didn't come to Sri Lanka. "

"We should not behave like frogs in well" he said.

Frogs in well (like me and some other frogs and tadpoles) may oppose this but they will empower our IT force with Indian supermen and beat America in near future.

I think this is what SAARC is there for regional cooperation.

They should strengthen that link for the betterment of the South Asian countries.

Forget about fight with Americans . They know how to buy the Asians politicians and it's people. Eg: green card.....$$.....,,,,,,,etc

IF SL is lacking or far behind in IT field & expertise why not this sector is developed with proper planning in the next 10 years.
Solution is needed right now to meet the future demand of IT professionals in the long run rather importing IT guys forever into this country.

This is the place they developed as an high level IT park.
At the moment WSO2, CodeGen , SLT etc are operating from this place.
This place was assigned to cater space need of another 8 or 10 IT companies and the buildings was under repair one year ago. Engineering unit of Army was doing marvelous job converting aged buildings into modern offices.

All the abandoned buildings of Charms warehouse were to be repaired and to be rented to IT companies. Monthly rent alone is 2 laks from one company. There were 8-10 to be arrived and projected rental income for the government was over 200 million per year.

There is ample spaced car park , dining facilities with food courts, central A/C units etc.

Now we are talking about developing with proper planning.
All the work in this place is standstill from the great victory day 8th january 2015. Halfway build buildings are collapsing. Money wasted. Army was ordered to go out.
No one to manage the place as army did. Security is going down.
The companies hoped to come this place and create 100s of new jobs for our boys and girls will never come.
Forget about export income, rental income for the country in millions lost.

Now these d o n k e y s are talking about importing Indian robots.

I'm pretty disappointed how this government is desperate to make this agreement with India without doing any other thing. They have promised something else and desperately doing some other thing. I'm sure their time will end soon in another 4-5 years. Have a worry whether this will be a half colony of Indian migrants by then Razz
