President Sirisena came into power promising a country ruled based on good governance. His visit to the US and the Clinton Foundation in the middle of spiralling controversies of fraud and dishonesty dents that image. Clinton according to wikileaks did not even want the LTTE to be defeated, she was also accused to taking funds from LTTE fronts during her first stint as presidential candidate. The Benghazi email crisis is another scandal to her lists of which are questioning the integrity of her candidacy to head the US plus her health condition is adding to the agony. Nevertheless, the pours of congratulations to Sri Lanka’s good governance government from the UNSG to world leaders does raise eyebrows when Clinton Foundation is being accused by many quarters of money laundering and fooling the world about its charity endeavors. It also questions all of those others associated with the Clinton Foundation Initiatives some of whom are former heads of state!

Posted by Political Pulse on Thursday, September 22, 2016

The former President Chandrika Bandaranaike as per her website lists the Clinton Foundation’s Clinton Global Initiative of which she is a member and established in 2005 by Bill Clinton himself. Certainly there are questions for the former President of our country and her association with a Foundation that the American people are referring to as a scam, fraud and scandal!

The Allegations:-

 Iinvestigative reporter Sarah Westwood says fewer than half of the projects undertaken by the Clinton Global Initiative since 2005 have been completed - Between 2005 and 2015 there were 3,452 commitments made through CGI.

 A CNN analysis claims the Clintons earned more than $153 million in paid speeches from 2001 until Hillary Clinton launched her presidential campaign last spring - the two gave 729 speeches from February 2001 until May, receiving an average payday of $210,795 for each address.

 A poll by The Economist/YouGov found that 53% of respondents viewed her as dishonest and untrustworthy. The Economist says The Clinton Foundation is one of the reasons why voters have taken such a dim view of Mrs Clinton’s integrity – “One of the reasons that the Clinton Foundation has become such a formidable fund-raising machine is that donors appear to hope to gain access to the corridors of political power with their gifts”

 Washington Post reveals that over the past 15 years, the Clinton Foundation has raised a staggering sum, close to $2 billion. Donations from banks and other financial institutions account for the largest share of the foundation’s corporate benefactors. The most controversial donors are the governments of Saudi Arabia ($10 to $25 million), Kuwait, ($5 to $10 million), Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates ($1 to $5 million).

 The largest donors, having given over $25 million since 2001, include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

 Major corporations - Boeing and Booz Allen Hamilton (defense contractors), bankers - Barclays, Goldman Sachs, and the American Federation of Teachers.

 A congressional report released in 2016 initiated by U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) claims that the Clinton Foundation could be a "sham charity" engaged in "unfair or deceptive acts or practices." The report detailed how the Clinton Foundation and drug companies provided cheap but possibly watered-down anti-HIV drugs in Africa.  The report studied how the Clinton Foundation partnered with drug companies such as Ranbaxy Labs, Matrix, and Cipla in India.

 The IRS launched an investigation into the Clinton Foundation July 2016 after 64 House Republicans called the foundation a “lawless ‘pay-to-play’ enterprise that has been operating under a cloak of philanthropy for years and should be investigated” in a letter to the IRS, FBI and Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

 Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani claimed Hillary “doesn’t care about you. She cares about the $150,000, $200,000 speeches that she gives to Wall Street.”

 Interview with Jack Kelly says the Clinton Foundation is “Robin Hood in reverse’ – the foundation has ‘pocketed nearly 100billion dollars’ says Bill Still.

 The Clinton Foundation had been on the Charity Navigator Watch List for quite a while citing lack of transparency in the form of not producing audited financial statements. their overhead costs are wildly out of line, and the organization was taking in far more money than it was dispensing in the form of grants

 The Washington Free Beacon reported that Charles Ortel “spent the past 15 months digging into the Clinton Foundation’s public records, federal and state-level tax filings, and donor disclosures” and determined “this is a charity fraud.” “Starting almost 20 years ago in 1997, the Clinton Foundation spread its activities from Little Rock, Arkansas, to all U.S. states and to numerous foreign countries without taking legally required steps to function and solicit as a duly constituted public charity,” wrote Ortel, in a letter posted on his website. The Sunday Times of London described Ortel as “one of the finest analysts of financial statements on the planet” in a 2009 story detailing the troubles at AIG.

 Editorial of the Investor’s Business Daily referring to a letter by Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn quotes "pattern of dealing that personally enriched the Clintons at the expense of American foreign policy." " The editorial says “Clinton Foundation took in some $100 million in donations from a variety of Gulf sheikhs and billionaires who no doubt expected to reap political benefits from a future Hillary Clinton presidency, with Bill serving not just as first gentleman in the White House but also possibly as bagman.

 Daily Tennesseean reports that Blackburn's letter also details how "the International Youth Fund, whose board members include Laureate's founder, Douglas Baker, received more than $55 million in grants from the U.S. Agency for International Development while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state." AID is a part of the State Department. It also reports that Hillary under Obama approved the sale of uranium to the Russian-operated company, whose chairman also has donated $2.35 million to the Clinton Foundation

 Another video further exposes the Clinton Foundation fraud.

 An article by Gabrielle Abdelnour titled ’10 people under the Clinton’s curse’ goes on to say ‘Three decades and nearly 90 bodies later — something's not right’

These are certainly factors that not only voters in the US need to take stock of but fellow countries of the world & their leaders must also be worried. If she can be influenced by big bucks as seen by those pledging monetary commitments to her fund with the intent of seeking future favors, these undermine clean governance. These as analysts have pointed out are questionable features to her integrity and are worrisome too. In an environment where democracy connotes to mean the will of the people – we need to remind Hillary Clinton and all others associated with the Clinton Foundation/Initiatives that a government is elected by the people to serve the people and not the corporates that are giving money to them. We are thankful for those exposing the fraud inside the Clinton Foundation & its Initiatives as it helps us to question the integrity of all others associated with and members of the Foundation!

With her track record its quite laughable at her conduct – quoting Globalresearch Tom Hall “During her time as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton took the lead in denouncing the Sri Lankan government’s “human rights record” in order to pressure it to move away from its ties with China as part of the Obama administration’s “Pivot to Asia.” She presented resolutions in 2011 and 2012 in her capacity as secretary of state demanding that the UN take action against Sri Lanka for human rights violations during the civil war against Tamil separatist guerrillas.” And it comes as no surprise that she is defending and had in fact armed ISIS.
