Since VOL IPO is happening almost simultaneously Brwns Inv. IPO's getting less attention. But this too is a very good share & has a lot of potential. It should trade between 6-7.50 on the first day. What are your views?

i dont think so max will be around 5.20 to 5.50

did you read the prospectus carefully?if so you dont sell at that price Laughing

will see mate,love to buy from such retailers who dont even go through the prospectus.

He must have had some bad experiences with EXPO or FLCH. But he'll realize that this is different. Hopefully VOL & BINV would restore the faith we used to have in IPO's.

Most recent IPO's had a issue of private placement which was placed at discount than the price offered to the public, so all feared that privately bought people might dump their stake on first day, but with V1 , browns investment & TJ there is no such a issue. both the IPO & PP prices are same, so we can expect the same run we witnessed in previous ipo's ( exclude FLCH ), and hopefully when V1 , Browns hit the market, the overall market sentiment can be good too, so it will also affect positively to the first day price

i was unable to apply for BINV bcoz of our "suhada hadak athi deshiya bank"

see this.......

*Based on the annualized net profit of Rs. 1,927.4 Mn, diluted EPS stands at
LKR 1.06/- with total number of shares of 1,810 Mn including the privately
placed shares. Therefore the IPO price of Rs. 5/- is fixed at a trailing PER of 4.7x which is heavily discounted to the Diversified sector PER of 35x and
Investment Trust sector PER of 26x. (Browns Investment Limited is likely to be listed under ‘Diversified Sector’ (DIV) or the ‘Investment Trust’ (INT)).Further, the price is set at a discount.

btw if you go through the prospectus,you can easily point out some strong factors of it...

now tell me a fair price for this share Question

This is a good share to buy from even secondary market.I dont have enough BINVs from the IPO.So I am looking to buy more.But we should be careful to decide the price which we should enter.Because even though this is a very good share , the market seems still little bearish for me.good luck!

Bcz pvt plcmnt rule wont effect this Sad

further we hv allocated small portion & Big fishes hv allocated full portion Smile

I hope to buy more BINV share secondary market. but not on first day for sure.
Most pp guys may dump thier shares first day. so selling pressure will be there.

below 6 would be ideal but below 7 is not bad. considering PER for IPO price is just 4.7

Remember LOFC...?
They listed 2,800,000,000 shares @ Rs.5 and on first day, it reached as high as Rs.22.
Now BINV is listing 1,860,000,000 shares @ Rs.5.
Of course, the previous one was an introduction whereas the latter is an IPO.
But still, can't someone think of more than Rs.6-7 on first day...?

They are two different companies & most importantly LOFC is now trading at 10 & its still overvalued.... So speculating more than a realistic value is misleading. It's such practices that has resulted in some investors suffering heavy losses.

As we sow yesterday VONE also doesn't perform as much we expect so I don't think that Brwns will perform as bull run. As I think most probably it may stay around 6

PER is low.
PER depends on SHARE PRICE and EARNING PER SHARE.
IPO share price has been decided by the company.
Then why such a low IPO price?
I think we can not say this is at a discount just because PER is low.
