Just want to find out whether any other shares in CSE trading below 5 PE other than DIMO.

DIMO PE:
Last 2 quarters earnings totalling Rs. 170.00 and let's assume earning in the next two quarters will be Rs. 130/= in a worst situation. Annualised Earnings will be Rs. 300/=. PE is 1,300/300= 4.3 times

This is simply amazing. I think neither investors nor directors do justice to this share. Someone is selling this share each time when it tries to go up. Aren't directors have a duty to protect the shareholders? many useless shares trading at a PE of more than 60 and still going up but DIMO is going down day by day.
Are fundamentals dead at CSE?

One problem with DIMO is that it's value make small investors unreachable. Hope Directors will make a sub division sooner than later.

BTW is there any other share in the market which trade below 5 PE?

If we assume there wont be any losses in next 2 or 3 quarters.. then following Voting counters may trade below P/E 5 at the moment (if we consider only the present price).

DIPP- With the help of one off gain
OFEQ- Probably the lowest P/E value in CSE. But no point talk more as impossible to buy even 100 shares.

Note: It's so damn hard to find a fundamentally sound share with very very low P/E value (below 5). As you said DIMO may be the only one.

This will be confusing as it depends
a) on trailing PE
b) do you include capital gains
c) forward PE ( future expectations )

If trailing considering cumulative aggregate eps of past 12 months

* check plantations companies including KGAL
* CFVF , CSEC
* CDB

Also closer ones like

* JINS
* DIST
with pe 5-6 comes to mind

These will fit your PE criteria but there will be one time gains which should not be projected as future repeats

DIMO is still outstanding . Even with a profit drop DIMO is likely to report EPS of 270-300 as you identified.

BTW , regarding DIMO.

I hope thge person selling on the open markedt will stop this madness and wait till it appreciate to dispose.

I understand if someone is desperate to sell share for a reason of their own. What I do not understand with DIMO is why would anybody sell a PE 5 company at any going rate in the market than let is appreciate. That person would get a better gain if he/she sell with higher profit.
This is absurd. Unless there is secret we do not know.

5Any other share below PE of 5. Is it only DIMO? Empty DIMO Mon Oct 31, 2011 12:14 pm

One director is selling continuously. He probably knows DIMO status better than us.

Well, that is Mr. A.N Algama. He has sold only 10,000 shares. and his stake has gone down to 213,739 shares from 258,372 shares in March 2011. He is the only director who has been selling DIMO and others are holding their positions. So we can't come to a conclusion just by looking at director sell off.

On the other hand ETF and Thurston Investments LTD have sold a lot. They might have sold some directly in the market. That might have caused the price to be stagnant

1.Without One off gains!
2.For the current price for the coming financial year

CDB and ALLI will show PE ratios of less than 5!
KGAL will be around PE of 5-7!
