I was just analysing Citrus Leisure PLC and chekced the Citurs Kalpitiya prospectus as a part of it.
In prospectus, they've stated that "The LKR 403,500,000/- raised on the Private Placement of 40,350,000 Shares and LKR 700,000,000/- raised on issue of shares to parent for cash has been utilized in acquision of 20.15% or 40.3 Mil shares of CLND.

Also the following announcement makes sense in this;
http://www.cse.lk/cmt/uploadAnnounceFiles/5741307078442_618.pdf

But when has Emagewise bought shares of CLND? I could not find any evidence, it was just a news we recieved at that time and CLND went up with this new..

But now is it only retailers driving this under the guise of Dili Jay?

Initially both Emagewise and Kalpitiya bought 10% each of CLND @20 per share. After 2 weeks time Emagewise sold the most of the stake @44 to Kalpitiya.

Kalpitiya owns 20%

10% bought @20
10% bough @44

Kalpitiya Beach Resorts PLC has disposed 74,600 shares at Rs 37/-.

http://www.cse.lk/cmt/uploadAnnounceFiles/5741307078442_618.pdf

As of 3Q2012 interim statement, Kalpitiya holds 40 million shares. What make them to sell at this price. If I am not mistaken, the average cost price is Rs 32/-. Are they disposing to the retailers Question

They have transferred CL shares to kalpitiya with huge margin to book the profit.However if Kalpitiya get the profit from cl,It will be benefited for whole group. Kalpitiya avg cost around 32,Hope that kalpitya want to get rid of of cl shares by putting in to retails.
