I dont think any member here recived the credit facitly yet (seen in a another post) So i dont think market will go up with in one day.. it will take some time.. with credit in hand investors has to increase the confidnece about the marekt. I saw many members thinking about different type of investment past days Like lands, ovesease share market, different business etc.. Better go by slowely (otherwise down will be the fast also).. same way market required a big cash to stable the prices also...

What exactly do you mean "I dont think any member here recived the credit facitly"? Are you saying people's portfolio's are being force sold? If not please do explain what you mean

When we had credit facility years ago It had shown on the system under the buying power beyond my portfolio value.,Even though now the credit has given,my buying power shows zero,But I can always call the broker and ask to buy something within their limit which I dont know how much.,But they rarely refuse to buy.,
So if the credit's given why is it not shown under buying power yet?so I can use it when I need it without calling them.,

I think, one has to have prior arrangements with the bank/broker to have a margin/credit facility shown in his account. They wont offer them unilateraly. ?Am I correct.

This is the reason
http://www.ft.lk/2012/01/19/old-habits-die-hard-sec-resumes-investigation/investigation/

Four brokers, eight investors get letters
Old habits die hard they say, as inner circles of stock market were rocked yesterday by the news of SEC resuming its investigations causing mixed reactions.
The Daily FT learns that following their meeting on Monday, a few SEC Commissioners had been insistent that once ruled out or closed investigations must be resumed.
The end result much to the charging of some, was SEC had fired letters to at least four brokers and eight investors asking them to come for an initial questioning.
Sources said at least one of the Commissioners who incidentally wears several private sector hats, thus exposing a possible conflict of interest and perhaps a witch hunt, had been adamant that SEC must re-exhume closed files. This was after the alleged rescinding of SEC minutes.
Other sources however said that wasn’t the case but rather resumption of investigations, which understandably was stopped until there was a sense of stability at the SEC. This was in relation to the appointment of a Chairman, which was resolved last month with the selection of Tilak Karunaratne.
SEC is yet to appoint a new Director General, the post which fell vacant on 3 November, and important for any serious investigation.
