Any body knows???

If a 5bn IPO comes in retailers will have to pump 2bn, in 100,000 each from 20,000 CDS accounts.

I see a lot of under subscriptions in such cases

IPOs like Access will be fully subscribed in the first day. SEC has given 40% to retail customers. That means they will probably get almost the full amount they subscribe. Remainder will add up to the other 50%.

This means you don't have to worry about getting 200 shares. Smile

Yap..no need to worry abt getting 200 shares, but i think there can be a massive selling pressure in the 1st day of trading, means less gains like LGL or even losses like PCH.

But it depend on the INVESTOR confidence on the stock, If they are bullish then all of us are better off Very Happy

Last year the highest-ever number of new accounts were opened, amounting to 57,093, bringing the cumulative total to 554,000. Already 20,000 new accounts have been opened in the first two months of this year.

in February there had been nearly 13,000 new accounts opened and this translates top 650 accounts per working day

It doesn't necessarily have to be 100,000 does it?
correct me if im wrong. Say if the issue price is higher than 33/-, then the limit will be the no. of shares (3000)

anyhow, not every CDS account holder will apply. Some will have multiple A/Cs but can only apply once.
But I think there will be good subscription levels for this.

we have to see active a/c out of this, Union bank IPO 63,200 application were received under investor category.. out of the 58,000 were applied less than 5,000.. Hence those may be the retail customers...
