I am of the view that AIA which purchased Aviva NDB insurance controlling interest by purchasing the unlisted aviva NDB holdings and a further 5% steak directly of Aviva NDB held by CDIC should make a mandatory offer for the remainder of Aviva NDB insurance (CTCE) shares.

CSE and the SEC should look into this matter and act fast in the interest of the minority shareholders.

Your views on this matter will certainly be useful to the investing public.

Your view doesn't matter. What matters is the existing takeovers and mergers code.

Under the existing rules it looks like AIA does not need to waste time on retailers who may or may not have overpaid for CTCE.

AIA only bought 5% of the CTCE shares (the takeover was through buying an unlisted company). The SEC rules are clear on this and rules shouldn't be changed retrospectively to benefit a minority.

When rules are changed retrospectively it causes a bigger mess.
