For the first time in Sri Lanka, LankaTiles, the country's leading manufacturer in wall and floor tiles has implemented digital ink infused technology in several of their collections. The process, which was put into service in February 2012, operates through two state-of-the-art Italian machines from Siti B&T (Keramagic) and TechnoFerrari. Following the success of digitally-printed tiles in domestic and international markets, LankaTiles has decided to add a third machine to the process in order to increase printing capacity.

Digital tile decoration cuts short the path from idea to product, and features numerous advantages as the most efficient and sophisticated tile decoration system to date. Quick processing times allow the production of premium replicas of natural designs and textures, including stone, marble, wood and even textile and photographs to be made to order with ease.

The technology guarantees a seamless design that covers the entire tile for optimum aesthetic appeal and consistency in colour intensity, with the capability of HD (high-definition) printing of up to 12 colours at 1000 DPI (dots per inch). Digital tile decoration also opens the prospect of producing tiles like our thumbprints, where no two tiles need be the same. "At LankaTiles, we constantly strive for innovation in design and production. Our success in export markets such as Europe, Canada, USA and Australia are a result of always being up-to-date in our processes, ensuring only the best in quality. The expansion of our digital printing facility will allow us to introduce even more imaginative and exciting products, giving customers thrilling options to choose from" explains Natalie Kherli, Head of Design, LankaTiles.

LankaTiles boasts 35 years of experience as the pioneer in manufacturing wall and floor tiles in Sri Lanka. Customers can now find the latest designs and expect contemporary new series to add to LankaTiles' existing portfolio of unique collections, available in a range of different sizes that meet their every need.
