Basically paying out cash on the balance sheet, once its paid out value will fall in line with the cash amount paid out as you are no longer entitled to the cash.
I got a shock when I saw the size of the dividend, NDB has always maintained they will not pay out the money from Aviva sale, looks like they have reneged on that pledge.

I think you are not correct, Because they haven't paid anything from Aviva sale. But they have paid almost 90% of their operation and other earnings. (EPS is 16+something with out Aviva money)

So if you hold 10000 shares you get about Rs1250 after tax.
Rs 50 per share gives Rs 0.14
R2.6 per share ( FLCH) give Rs 0.15
Rd 26 per share ( TPL) gives Rs 2.5
I think GRAN does have a good future but lately things have been bad for them.

Will a share trading at 11 in B&F give a 1/= dividend and a share trading at 27 in plantations give a 2/= dividend?
