it is a good share. need to move if fundamentals work.. profit for this quarter should be up massively as rubber prices at all time high.

I think it is worth holding RICH. Quarter that ended in September it had a profit of about 434 million. I bet they did better than that on the quarter that ended in December. With their newly opened brokerage company, rapidly expanding supermarket chains, massive increase in the rubber prices, it shouldnt be a difficult task to post a profit of at least 500 million for December quarter. RICH is also the holding company of KGAL. So I'm sure they will benefit from that too. However, this is only my view and I may be biased because I hold a huge chunk of RICH shares.

RICH is a blue chip company. With rubber rich KGAL and NAMU under the belt and more riches through the newly started stock brokeing company RICH will get richer. Also their supermarket chain should make them richer and other shoppers poorer during the festive season.

Last Quarter EPS was around rs 0.22. It should improve this quarter. Forward annualized EPS of 1 is well within target. being a diversified it will trade with a higher PE . This should go up further. If you have holding power this a defintely good share for the long run.

i also hold few thousands of RICH which cost me around 10.30/= I think they may be able to post at least 550 Million, if they make more i will be very happy i am holding this as a long term investment. With the expected expansion of Super markets and Entry to the Stock Brokering firm may bring additions to top & bottom lines .

Anyway if any of you want to invest do your own working before invest and decide. I am also waiting to see their quarterly report

I am bullish on rich and I am holding a bit of it too. I am hoping for a great quarter.

But I don't expect them to get a big boost from super markets or their new stock brokerage. Super markets all over the world are low margin businesses. Things are no different here. Stock brokers will need a couple of years at least to get well established. No, they will get the profits from their major business; plantations.

I think it ahs a good future. Unless you hold on to a theam as long as you are sure about it, you wan't gain in equity market.

I have bought at big chunk at 13.90 and cost is just above Rs.14.00. no worries, if goes up beyond Rs18.00 will sell a little, unless i hold it for indefinte future

It's a good share to hold ....how ever most shares come down after financials due to the fact that the news has alreday leaked and the shares have begun their up ward journey weeks a head. Only if the results are a well guarded secret does it zoom no sooner the financials are out if the results are positive

Despite the high price this share should do well. But you better place a SELL order immediately at the price you want as the market is very fickle and unpredictive. Next week we can see quarterly accounts of at least 3-40 companies and that is pretty heavy work! You better be quick and stay alert.

RICH is a very solid medium or long-term prospective. With their results out this should hit 15-16 easily, then go from there depending on how good the results really are. I for one expect RICH to release surprisingly good results shortly.

Well...

according to the chairman of RICH they plan to make 2.5 billion net profits for the year 2011 and 3 billion for the financial year 2011. I don't know how feasible this really is, but they should make around 1.8-2.0 million in profits giving them an EPS close to 1. so think this share can go a bit further.

Richard Pieris Group has set targets to achieve a net profit of Rs 2.5 billion by the end of this year, while expecting to exceed the net profit Rs three billion in 2011, Richard Pieris Group Chairman Dr Sena Yaddehige told Daily News Business.

Fully agree, this should pass Rs16 shortly and maybe even go further than that within a week or two.

If chairmans annual profit estimates are reached it is a easily a Rs 20 share in the medium term. But his 2.5 profit estimate is a bit skeptical at this juncture. Let look at Dec quarter growth then we can figure out the feasibility around his estimate. Right now Rs 15-16 is a fair price for this blue chip conglomerate.

Yeah his figures were 2.5 billion for the calender year 2011 & 3 billion for the fiscal year. That just looks overly optimistic. especially considering we're not talking about a jump from 100 million to 150 million we're talking billions here. that type of growth is difficult considering the size of this country
