Why relevant authorities not taking action to avoid these kind of disasters such as Tsunami alarm system ????

OMG...how come such # of people went missing.Had this taken place in mid night.What was the authority doing without issuing warnings to those poor people.I prey for them to be in safe hands of god....

Actually this sad situation has occurred in Haldumulla Area . There had been landslide time to time in this area in the past as well.

Let us not jump the gun and point fingers at authorities, as per several officials this location had been identified way back in 2004 as a landslide treat area.
There has been several warnings and awareness campaigns. Unfortunately planatation company management seems to have not taken any action.
We srilankans normally don't take things seriously and always have a very relaxed attitude, as we always see how we drive and walk in the roads.

we also have a collective responsibility to avoid this kind of tragedies. Hope still there will be some survivors , miracles do happen.
