However it is little unknown among mass Sri Lankans and Karu Jayasuriya has secretly taken all efforts in his career history to hide his real 'Bankruptcy' so that one day he can be the ruling leader in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
It is no secret that United National Party Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya once held the position of either Chairman or Director of 50 listed, unlisted corporates, trade chambers and others prior to his entry into politics. But what he would describe as the bullwalk was being the Chairman of United Motors Lanka PLC the first corporate entity to be “peoplised” under the Ranasinghe Premadasa Presidency.
But in the name of 'Peoplisation' Karu Jayasuriya made deals by being Chairman of those companies and selling them to other entrepreneurs in the island nation earning commissions under the hand...Also make a note that Karu Jayasuriya left many of those companies former employees without paying their due Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contributions and later those employees struggled to find jobs. Karu Jayasuriya those days threatened even journalists and deleted off articles of newspapers that exposed about his bankruptcy...but carried out articles promoting his business success.
