Regarding this reputation system it is nice to have this type of system...It keeps us alive in angry mood or in good mood.

I never check a person's point numbers when reading posts. I have a selected set of people who I always read and another set of people I don't read usually unless there's nothing good. I know them by experience by reading their posts before. They may have -100 or +100 I have no idea.

monster,
whats wrong in my posts you are reffring to. At the end in some posts I have wished the members success using the words "happy trading". Dear monster, do you think there is no meaning at all in my posts. I kindly request you to read them again. Just because someone have become a moderator he/she should not behave like hitler. I can now understand who is giving so much - rep to me. That is because they do not like the content of my posts even they know those factors are true. But one day every body will have to face the reality. In fact I am not much worried about current status of the market. Every dark cloud has a silver line friend.

My dear Monster, I have read so many valueble posts of yours here. The image of you what I had in my mind was very great. But after I read the thread you stated in your previous post I was thoroughly disapointed. There are 7 posts in that thread and only in 3 posts you can see the words "happy trading" Two of them in two posts of SL.Market and one is mine. But in all 3 posts the words "happy trading" have been used after obsevations were made. Not just two words of" Happy Trading". Dear friend, I felt that your post indicates that we(SL.Market or/and kam2011)who used the words "Happy Trading" are just trying to increased the number of posts without any contribution to the forum. However if that was not your intention I feel sorry for my reaction. We can work together and share our viws in most useful manner only if we respect each othe'rs views and the way that they present it.

My friends.. why you all are fighting for a small things. As for me this forum is very good and i am getting good knowledge through the posts. I am not consider who made the post only getting what he has to say and that information keep me as a back up if i think it is really useful. I think moderators also doing a great job, other wise this so many members will try to promote the different shares like other forums. There has to be have some control.

You are investing your hard earn money and you have to take the final decision when you are buying or selling in the market

You have summed it up nicely. Use this forum to educate yourself. For most of the participants, this is completely a new field and I am sure more than 99% are investing in share market for a part time income. The opportunities for a structured education and training in this field are limited which is why these kinds of forums are essential. As I said earlier the team here is doing a good job to maintain this platform at the best level, so please control your emotions and corporate with them to make this a better place. As for reputation points, don't ask for it, if you derserve you will earn it. But don't let this reputation thing affect your participation in the forum.

Its better to indicate how many + points and - points a voting member has cast for others in addition to 'posts' , 'points' ,'reputation' and 'joined date' .

Of course there has to be a good control.....But it should not be happened in a dictatory fashion...like removing unpleasant posts....(If it is an unethical it should be removed.) What should happen is the discussion.
I do not think that anyone could tell what will happen next...Otherwise he will be a multi billionair.
I have not got any problem with moderators.....They can have their power but use it intelligently and democratically....Then this will be very attractive and useful form.

You can become a moderator if admin things your contribution is needed as a mod.. And for the record we already have so many mods covering many hours as possible to keep the content quality of the forum..
Why everyone is here for information and not giving + or -.. Only thing we've experienced recently was absurd use of voting power to let down fellow members and we've seen the consequences.

Yes Mods have power but have u seen anyone misusing it? If so pls report the post to Admin.. u can simply send a PM..

My earlier post was abt correcting the wrongfully done stuff and not abt giving +s to the posts we like.. Wink hope no one has misread it..

Use voting wisely..+s are not for the posts becuz u like it but theres something u can learn from it, the post has investment value or its useful to the members, its a public alert on a potential problem...

at last feel like hugging you.. This is really good. Now the people cannot make others disappointed.

To add a suggestion. Rather than hiding behind the windows just put a comment saying you gave a negative point due to this. Have spine when giving negative points unless it is unavoidable. Before any one judge others, they should prove they are qualified in so.

adding Thanks button is a very good move Admin, i suggested this in the 3rd page as well, when a member help another we can always use the Thanks button other than typing Thanks, when a member post stock valuation etc we can add rep, but -1 rep = -1 will be nice, also im suggesting to have a system that members get different rep powers depend on their performance (post+rep+year)

50 post minimum to have rep power
members with - rep cant add rep
every 500 post 1 rep power
every 100 reps 1 rep power
completing one year in the forums 1 rep power etc

i dont know the capabilities in phpBB though Question
