HSBC upgrade is a big news, CNBC also reported it. Its a double promotion for us, from NEGATIVE - NEUTRAL - POSITIVE. Fitch & Moody's will also upgrade ratings very soon.

Budget deficit falls by 10-11% ( please check the right % ), First time in history budget deficit is falling. 

IMF loan approved - CSE bull increased market by about 50% last time we got IMF loan in 2012. So at this level ASI 6526 + 50% = ASI 9789 

Big investments - Koreans invest $450Mn to KKS LCEM project 
                        Japan HITACHI ready to invest a monorail to travel 500kmph
                        Japan ready to do more investments 
                        Singapore signed MOU to develop Trincomalee under megapolis  
                        IMF deal will bring many big & retail investors into Sri Lanka.  
                     

LOANS -   Japan gave development loan of $4.5Bn to Sri Lanka
              ADB promised to give $Bn ( I think 2.5BN ) for next 3 years
              World bank will definitely help us
              Government will sell bonds in international market to raise funds

Exchange rate - Rupee will strengthen because Imports have fallen. 
                      Many of imports we have to pay in Yuan, Yen, Indian rupee
                      now we have currency swaps with India and we will sell bonds in 
                      Renminbi markets. So pressure for Rupee will be less.

VAT & Taxes - Market reacted to all taxes, so no more negative news from taxes.  
                   Share transaction levy also in effect which means CGT will never 
                   come into this market. 

Interest rates/ T-bill rates -small increases like 0.01 / 0.02 / 0.35 Bp 
                                     But market did not fall. This shows the bullish sentiment.

GSP +  = we will get this very soon = more jobs , more investments , more exports 
EU fish ban - removed - exports of fish about $100Mn

Conclusion = Market did not react to any of the good news I told here. SO IT WILL REACT VERY SOON. This is start of BULL RUN dear friends.

Market will RISE!! Below are reasons ;

1.)  Brexit effects to financial markets slowly reducing, no more shocks to markets because of Brexit. 
Britain already going to sign Trade agreements with India, USA, China etc. SL will soon sign a trade agreement with UK,   so globally the situation is getting better.
 
2.) China is investing again in SL. A Chinese government company is trying to buy Holcim cement Ltd. This is a very good sign !! They will need cement for all their new projects. Next month there is official news that port city will start again with new agreement. During the meeting with Chinese Foreign minister, SL has told we will support China to rebuild the silk route.In hambantota they are going to make a ship repair center, and lease/buy the port and airport. 

3.) ADB says they will increase the allocated amount for SL upto USD 2 Bn for the next several years.

4.) Foreign buying. Foreign buying in CSE recently. Especially JKH is attractive since the Water front project is progressing and when that starts to give profits share will again be Rs.300 +  so JKH reaching Rs.160/- is not a surprise. 

5.) Our market dividend yield and PE ratio is attractive to foreigners. So many undervalued blue chips will be bought by foreigners.

6.) Technically market to move 200 points up. Market has to reach the next resistance level-ASI 6550 . So another 200 points market will move. If more positive news comes it can reach ASI 6777 resistance level.

7.) IMF program. Market didn't still rise for the IMF support. Soon the market will adjust itself for this huge international support of USD 1.5 Bn. 

8.) New CB Governor. This new CB governor has built confidence in the foreigners to invest in government bonds. So money will flow to SL.

9.) Market is in BULL RUN. Market entered a BULL RUN several months back but the CGT news disturbed it. So the buying pressure will continue as negative news is over now and many positive news have to come.

10.) Interest rates will not rise any more. More chances for Interest rates to reduce. With Chinese & Japanese investments Interest rates will reduce.


* One condition-  CGT story must not be spoken by Prime minister in this period.
