Dont go for job . For my advice you must follow accounts & Management. I believe CIMA is good . Other wise follow AAT SL , OR CMA sri lanka. Finance sector is developing too much now a days. Accountants are required any where in the world. Hospital, hoel even school require accountants. If you didnt get idea contact me personally.

@THILI , be practical. How this guy can become a doctor. I believe he alredy done the Advanced Level. We have to understand his potential energy first. Dont downgrade accounts . There are plent of jobs out side of sri lanka. You cant buy good shares without financial literacy. Analysing means financials. I advised him what i know & what i have done.

@Teller - Agreed he cant be doctor.

I recomend CMA or mgt degree. CA too difficult and time consume cima is good but too costly cant cover the investment in short time doing job. CMA would be a good option. AAT i dont recomend its basic qualification and not recognised to do manager job . law entrance is also very good option if person can talk.

If you do Electronics i recommend to do marine electronic (very good pay 4 times a CIMA or CA) . person can travel in ships (personality should match).

doing normal electronic i dont recomend. thease days pvt sector engineers also get moderate salary and huge presure same as Accountants. becoming a lawyer or marine electronic would be more enterprenuel
. also becoming a lawyer give you huge civil power (doctors engi and accountants will not have this)
but for getting a job in company dont do law you will be paid low and very little job market

Sure, CIMA is costly and plenty of pople are doing this now days. Only very few people will get better jobs. Technical filed is more attrave nowadays you can earn good salary locally and overseas.

Dear Lankaspeaker,

Its a pity that no one had asked you what subjects you opted for your A/Ls or neither your results, if it had been released.

First identify your strengths, interests and based on your aptitude (you may have a natural flair for something) choose a field that will lead you into a job/profession that you will be happy with. At the end of the day what matters is the happiness that you derive from what you do. Even you seek opinion from others be your master when finally making a decision. Life is a portion of time given to you, so make good use of it. Good luck!
