Adaderana reporting little biased towards GOTA. GOTA may well win but margins will not be that high. maybe he end up with just 52% while Sajith close on with about 42%. There is a chance that 2nd preference will need to be counted..

A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court challenging the verdict issued by the Court of Appeal over the citizenship issue of SLPP Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Prof. Chandraguptha Thenuwara and Gamini Viyangoda have filed the appeal this morning.
The Court of Appeal, last month, dismissed their case challenging the validity of SLPP candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's citizenship.

According to today's 'Daily Mirror' Sajith has stated that:

"NO NEED TO GO OUT OVER CITIZENSHIP ISSUE, I'LL WIN - SAJITH"

Probably Sajith now fears imminent humiliating defeat and therefore may have triggered his stooges to file a petition in the SC. This is a last minute desperate attempt to mislead the people who are already fed up with these sort of low level tactics and mud slinging over the past few days. These petty acts will only sway more votes towards Gota who is already leading the race.

95% Sure GOTA doesn't have complete the US citizenship renouncing process. that Derana video show that citizenship renouncing is a lengthy process. Even he gets the renouncing certificate then he needs to get the citizenship Srilanka again since he has dual citizenship at present in Sri Lanka. please correct me if I'm wrong.

A person has to be a citizen of one country. Since he is a dual citizen, when he renounces his citizenship from US (If he has done it, not sure) he will retain the citizenship in SL. No need to apply again.

With less than 48 hours for the presidential election i don't understand why this hue & cry about Gota's citizenship at this point in time? These are malicious propaganda to mislead people and to discourage investors by the going to be loser's stooges.
If there is an issue there are relevant authorities who will look into that not for jokers to speculate.

DNFs internal problems have reached climax confusing the masses. I totally agree, during the 50 day constitutional crisis they went to the court like going to the super market .so they had ample time to do likewise for this issue .why beat around the bush at the last minnute . shouldn't send wrong signal to the investing fraternity. it is the economy of our country ultimately suffer
