Yes but Only when just considering it's value by P/E ratio.

Lets take UBC,

Profit after taxes grew by 36% YoY
Net Interest Income up 21% YoY
Total Capital Adequacy Ratio is 16.3%
Total Operating Income YoY Growth was 19%
Total average CASA YoY Growth was 22%
Operating Expenses increased by 5%
Total asset growth was -8%

And lets compare it with your favorite share. SAMP,

Total Capital Adequacy Ratio was 15.65% {While UBC's 16.3% (Higher is better)}
Total asset growth is 4.1% (Its higher than UBC btw)
Profit after tax decline by 23.5% (While UBC's PAT grew by 36%)
Operating Expenses increased by 9% (While UBC's increased only by 5%)
Total average CASA Growth was 0.9% (While UBC"s CASA Grwoth is 22%)

Total Operating Income YoY Growth was 13.4% (While UBC's Growth is 19%)

Green = (+) points for UBC
Red = (-) points for UBC

So we got +5 points and only -1  >>> +5-1 = +4

Conclusion :- Invest in UBC for a better gain.

Try to collect COMB
Yeah COMB is also okay but i m into UBC and PABC, ABL too
Based on fundamentals those banks are overvalued
Which banks? UBC,PABC and ABL? You are telling they are overvalued?
Gimme a fair reason.
Buddy closely look their financials then you realized what im saying. Compared to strong banks like COMB SAMP NDB their financials are very poor. Im telling based on their earnings like EPS P/E NAV
I did.

Correct me if i am wrong who told UBC is overvalued. Same apply to PABC and ABL.

Yes but remember we are so close for a reversal. So this downtrend will be converted to an uptrend sooner.

Hello @sameera Welcome to srilanka equity forum Smile

There are so many worthy shares in this market. OSEA, RCL,TILE,LWL, UBC, PABC and many more. This corona case made  a lot of opportunities in this market.

Wait for the market turn back. Because nowadays you can see CSE is bleeding a lot. Try to collect above mentioned for the lowest.
