tbh i don't have any idea about both of them.however casino's will be a good income
what's ur idea about them?

Yes Casinos bring good income, also in brings in bad culture. Further its regarded as a bad Business. Sri Lanka abundant with other things tourists are interested. Why should we pick pocket them through casinos... I love if we make Sri Lanka an ethical destination, where tourists are cared and looked after like our own people and even development with a sustainable model. THEN WE MAKE A SRILANKAN IDENTITY AND RESPECT. How much ever money is gained, there is no worth in them when earned with cheap avenues..

Hi Nandana. Glad to see you back. I am from a personal standpoint 100%opposed to casinos. Never been inside one here or abroad. Singapore tourism was stagnant @ 8mn & once 2 casinos introduced I think now 17 mn+. Singapore has a tight gaming control act. I wish SL can proceed without this option. Since we already have 4 I think better to have 2 international operators subject to tight Singapore style controls. We could even ban local entry. Jkh CLife will boom if Genting given ok.

Actually Singapore has to do something or another to get them some income while their port, airport are being hit with competition and as a country without any proper ground income source and even water being imported from Malaysia. So i dont blame their model. They have a high security net and corruption free systems where they dont bother even the worst criminals enters there and offers free visa. (They will become powerless cats inside as anyone enters with fingerprint)

But we have lot of other areas for tourism, even our nature is enough to attract 5 Million more tourists easily, but need the system to be safe, secure and tourism friendly. Thailand gets 30 Million and Malaysia almost same..

With the God given attractions we have, we can build up the industry easily if correct and bold decisions are taken, without harming our culture and future generations - Tourism industry need not be like tobacco industry - Lot of taxes but more indirect cost to health..

Agree Few Casinos ok to have with strict controls...But ultimately we are involve in a unfair trade... also locals will find ways to break those control - we still dont have Singapore like politicians or officers...

Infact i like if we can make Sri Lanka the best ethical tourist destination in the World with 15-20 Million Visitors annually, and no prostitution, drugs  or casinos....Those people will love to travel here repeatedly and we will not require advertisements...(Spending Millions)

Dear Nandana. I fully agree with the thrust of your argument. Sadly our politicians & public servants  a far cry from Singapore. That is the major issue.

SL still do not promote prep phills for HIV. with thease if SL promote toarisum it will be long term impact to SL economy. im opposed to promote toarisum

As i personally know touar gides know all the badu pots in all around SL. locals do not have access to those spots and no idea. only the girs given to forigners so no police issues. this will raise hiv rates in SL and people starting to die . when girl earn enough money they want to marry locals hiding the past they will date many locals and finally SL will be hiv 40% country and half of population will die like in africa bombai

Kipling wrote:Kavindu. Appreciate last 2 posts but note contradiction in ASPI forecast.

Actually ASPI is a mess.

There are 2 possible ways.

1.market fall [market will be in a downtrend and if it fall more than 5700 level                                     (approximately 5676) , there won't be any bull market in next 6                                        months, which means it will keep falling]
                possibility :- 10%

            2. bull after April- May (market will be in a uptrend till April and it will fall by like                                                150-200 points and will be a bull market and will pass                                                    6700 levels easily.) However there is a chance for a free                                                  run without a fall too.
                possibility :- 90%

Actually our country need a good plan.Hope this gov will make this better.

And with some special incidents, this could be changed (like special government decisions)

However we will get the answer soon.

Still it can be both of those ways. but personally i trust it will turn back after reaching 5800 - 5900 levels

And it will be around 5820 level end of january. i don't think it deserves to fall more. So it will be a turning point.

Mind nothing is 100%.

Happy Trading!

Hi Kavindu. Clearly in a downtrend. Are we heading towards 5850-5900 as per your prediction before  commencing green journey to 6400 by end April. Major bull to 7000+ start after GE election result out. Correct?

Hi Kipling. Yes you are correct. Maybe it will reach 5800 level too. Yes green journey should start at the end of January or Feb 1st week.

Thanks Kavindu.GE results should be out end April. All early indications are that GR should make 2/3 hurdle. Then bold reforms will be rolled out fast. A few questions.
1) major bull will start after April?
2) will it break 8000 by mid year?
Thanks.
