This will give a much pressure to banks. Finally whole financial system will be collapsed. This is a really wrong decision. Some one has misleaded the prime minister. People will not repay.

Not only shareholders but also depositors need to reconsider their bank deposits. That's why I always believe in gold is the only commodity we have to protect our wealth with these clowns.

It is quite surprising some of your statements. One time you are recommending to sell based on the ASI downfall as per your technical analysis, but it seems your still holding on to shares as per above.

You were the one talk about bad future of banks, but how come you were holding it to it if the future is that much bad.

And the other question is, bank shares came down drastically in the last couple of days, but you being an expert starting to sell them only now. Don't understand the logic. Evil or Very Mad

For Me personal this is really bad decision by GOV. i can't believe it's real...

For Sri lanka "ක්‍රිබ් වාර්තාව" it best validation banks has. this is mirror of what person or company financials movement.

if you smart(peoples or company) you can show what every income and take loan. but crib will show how about real info.(numbers don't lie)

unfortunately most of private Banks (except SAMP,PABC and NTB...) most chunk own buy Gov. thanks to our EPF and ETF money...
so Gov has more control over private...

i'm really disappointed... why they need to kill SL bank and finance sector?

This decision will help people who are in trouble to make finance for their business. There is a positive side also. This affects only for one year. Other things banks can take legal action and recover from gurrenters if someone fails to pay.

i sold most of my banking shareS after tax structure changes and loan relief ahnouncement. But i hold few banks those are some dividend pays. How ever definitely i will exit from bank finance industry. I have started putting some orders today. For me i have some other options those seem to be more effective. Doesnt matter who i am and what i do, you save your funds and manage the risk. Thats only i can advise you now

@Sangeetha, currently attractive market is NASDAQ, Apple suddenly jumped 200$ to 318$ now. Apple immeadiately target is 375$, in same way Dubai will do good as expo 2020. Bombay stocks doesnt seem much good due to citizen amendment act but Philippines and KSA does well. Compare to all CSE look negative.

Loan repayment is a discipline , the code is very simple. If you dont practice that responsibility , even future loans you will not repay. Statement like CRIB proves your dicispline

This decision (CRIB on hold) can have a good aspect too. We dont know the details as yet..Some really stuck with loans could be given more time but not more loans should be given.....

But 100000 Govt Jobs for poor and again more for graduates is the worst going to happen.. Economy will collapse and no recovery for long time.. Why crazy.. For unemployed Govt can design a dole system like in Australia, where they will be given a living allowance (For a limited time), then job assistance training or voluntary work.. They DONT GIVE JOBS TO SLEEP.. Already too much.. this is simply a disaster.. And is to attract voters.. But GOVT forget they can loose 2 Million Independent voters with these crazy decisions... Already 2/3 hopes gone...

Most Govts try to get votes by targeting some groups, but they forget average citizen votes according to economic conditions.. Govt cudnt provide a proper solution to vegetable price crisis was a big negative.. They loose Million Votes for small reasons while try to achieve 100000 votes by these measures and when economy is destroyed finally nobody is happy...This happened to UNF too..
