Top Glove is the worlds no 1 glove maker and if DIPD can get small % from Top glove to produce gloves, its a massive game change for DIPD

This could be a reason for Directors to buy DIPD over 300 in last few days

Yes Subash, The largest glove producer cater 26% from World Demand. Now, large portion was interrupted. In other hand, DIPD new capacity expansions are entering to the game. That's why I earlier mentioned they can double turnover..

Lol now be careful with DIPD.

Remember NP made an open request to Cabraal to sell EPF and ETF stocks.
EPF has sold a portion, ETF has sold out, NP is in Very Happy

What we need to consider is company future potential than anything else
ETF /EPF too should sell their shares at some point
DIPD has better future and earning will be similar or better to previous quarter

this country will never, never develop with these parasites and dirty politicians. Even after 50 years time we can see this country remain as a big debt ridden country. God bless SRI LANKA. There will be no future for our children.

There are new hands in glove business plus companies with not prior experience in the business. But they cannot compete with leading well-established glove companies with international network. In recent months, several listed Malaysian companies have announced plans to set up glove manufacturing facilities. Manufactures of condoms, has also ventured into glove production. Their cost is higher when compare with big boys in the glove sector. Some of the new entrants have proposed to undertake a private placement to raise cash. Productions are only expected to commence or pick up in volume in 2021. If a vaccine is introduced, the new glove ventures by the listed companies will take a hit. Well stablished, experienced strong competitors have their market share. Dipd is also a well-established company. They have a good chance to bring down overdrafts, large borrowings in their book.

collection completed , i told that this should be down to 325 below when it was 400 finally it came to around 300 and uped . 330 might be , but i don't think 320 , sometimes 2morrow will start with 335. hence, try to collect small QTy s, then it is possible to average. i always think average-able Qtys should be buy.

Correct me if I’m wrong. It’s seems DIPD forming a “Head and shoulders” pattern. So in my opinion, the price will go around 375 and come back to 300 and then have a new start. Hope for your comment. Thanks

It is possible, If selling continues as we saw the past few days, today's gain might be temporary. But once the sale stops, DIPD can achieve previous highs or even higher in time.

Malaysia’s Top Glove says virus outbreak may push prices up

Nov. 25, 2020

1:19 AM

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia —

Malaysia’s Top Glove, the world’s largest rubber glove maker, said Wednesday that supply disruptions at its factories due to a coronavirus outbreak may push glove prices up.

The company said it has shuttered 20 of its factories in an area outside Kuala Lumpur in stages since Nov. 17 after nearly 3,000 workers tested positive for the virus, with another eight facilities in the same area running below 20% of capacity.

“Of course, there is some shortage as Top Glove is a big supplier in the world. Supply will definitely be affected somehow ... there is a possibility that glove prices will go up,” executive chairman Lim Wee Chai told a virtual news conference.

The company, which accounts for about a quarter of global supply, has said it expects between two and four weeks of delays in some deliveries and estimated a 3% impact on projected annual sales for the 2021 financial year.

Managing director Lee Kim Meow told the news conference that there have been no order cancellations so far. He said priority will be given to hospitals and essential services amid the shortage, and voiced confidence that the issue will be resolved quickly. Top Glove produces about 90 billion rubber gloves a year, and exports to 195 countries.

The area in Klang where Top Glove factories and workers’ hostels are located is currently the most active in the country, with 4,036 coronavirus cases. The health ministry said cases have spread from the factories to the wider community. Malaysia has reported a total 58,847 cases, including 341 deaths.

The company said some 6,000 workers have been screened, with a few thousands more to undergo testing by the end of this week.

Lim dismissed concerns of contamination, saying that workers have no direct contact with the gloves, with the production lines fully automated, and that the high heat in the ovens would kill the coronavirus.

He said his team was taken by surprise by Human Resources Minister M. Saravanan’s comments that checks so far revealed “deplorable” conditions at the workers’ housing.

“I have visited the hostels and the conditions are terrible. My officers were ordered to go in full force as this is a big, vulnerable migrant worker colony. If we don’t act, this cluster might get out of control,” Saravanan reportedly told a local newspaper this week. An aide to the minister confirmed his comments to The Associated Press.

Lim said he was puzzled as to why the minister changed his tune because he had given approval during a visit to Top Glove factories a few months ago.

“Since the minister’s visit, our housing condition has continued to improve ... because we pour in more money to improve facilities and we want to do it quickly. So it came as a big surprise when such comments were made,” he said, adding that the company will seek clarification.

Top Glove has more than 11,000 workers at the 28 affected factories in Klang. The company has said it has invested millions of dollars in recent months to upgrade housing facilities and ensure that strict health measures were followed to curb the spread of the virus.

It employs a total of 21,000 workers in its 41 factories in Malaysia and six other facilities in Thailand, Vietnam and China.

DIPD's order books are apparently full till at least end of 2021. In that case, all these news about other factories shutting down operations won't help DIPD. They're at their maximum production capacity at the moment. But that alone is sufficient to drive the earnings much higher.

Did you watch DP's interview in Derana 360, he talked about this shut down and revealed that Dipd signed 3years agreement with USA and grabbed the opportunity in world market due to the absence of Malaysian gloves supplier. If you not watch that interview now uploaded in Utube
