Hi Captain,

Day traders, swing traders, investors all is there in market!

If we analyze today’s volumes, I have noticed something special. Today’s & yesterday’s high is Rs 100/- but EXPO was HEAVILY COLLECTED @ Rs 95~95.10(more than 4Mn shares). What’s special is, a TRADER sold above Rs 98 in yesterday or today would have NOT BUY below Rs 92 at least to make a trading gain. This means, FRESH INVESTORS ENTERED around Rs 95 or above

A total of 47Mn shares have been traded since yesterday above Rs 90/- which extremely healthy volumes. I agree with your perceptive about next stop with solid CONSOLIDATION in Rs 90~100 braket

Good Luck

All we happy now, because EXPO has reached to its very important Rs.100 + barrier with good support volumes.
But, this is never ending. see below the world-wide ongoing shipping pricing announcement published on today. (see graph) Rates are increasing day by day and all of logistic companies will have more and more better period in coming 6/9 months. Their earnings can be double and triple.
Even World leading shipping giant "MAERSK" forecast and announced better financials in coming quarters. All of shipping and logistic sector companies will have golden era in coming quarter.

EXPO is superb now. Very soon it will be number one market capitalization company in CSE. mostly will become to number 1 position in coming week.
EXPO is a light asset maintaining company. Larger assets/machinery/buildings are not require. Just like companies IT sector / Amazon / Alibaba / apple. All of these companies are trading higher PE's. Even in SL market NEST is trading more than 15 PE.
Globally most of  Transportation sector companies are trading above 24 or 27.
In Indian market Transpiration sector companies are trading 19 - 22 PE.
But, in Sri Lanks Market PE still at 9.9 (CSE web) and I believe, still EXPO is trading lower 8 - 9 range.
Due to higher earnings of this company (LKR 25 Billion company) we can see now higher Investor attractions in each day by day. I am sure many more, funds , HNWI's and also foreign funds will enter here in coming periods.
Intelligent investors are already identify its value and they holding until its faire value. Recently Capital trust has predicted Rs.125 and I believe, considering current pattern, sure mostly they will revised their targets. EXPO is super gem now. We can expect Superb from Q2.

EXPO should revalue to real position now. My expectation minimum of 12-15 EPS for current year and to trade minimum of 12 PE to reach Rs.144 and or even 15 PE to trade 180.
Thinking This share will easily pass next important 150 barrier - because this is number 1 highest revenue and same as earnings having company in Sri Lanka now.

Big apparel and footwear merchants are increasingly trying to switch from ocean to air transport to make up for huge production slowdowns in Vietnam due to COVID and ensure seasonal imports arrive on time for holiday shoppers. Airfreight rates from the country are rapidly escalating because of the spike in demand for all-cargo charter capacity, according to logistics companies that manage freight movements.
The shift to cargo aircraft is underway as Vietnamese authorities, in response to rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in the south, extend by a month stringent controls on movement that have crippled factory production and sharply reduced freight activity at ports and airports. Many factories remain closed.
The situation is very fluid, with the Ho Chi Minh City city government on Friday announcing that residents will be required to shelter in place, starting Aug. 23, in an effort to better container the COVID spread, according to a local media account.
“I can tell you there are a number of major U.S. retail brands that have pulled the trigger to say, ‘This style or this particular [product line] is no longer going to be on the ocean, it’s only going to go in the air,’” Evan Rosen, president of the Americas for EFL Global, told American Shipper.
EFL is a freight forwarder with strong expertise supporting the fashion industry.
Mode conversion has been a part of importers’ risk mitigation strategies — especially out of China — much of the year to deal with ongoing supply disruption and port congestion issues. Ocean carriers don’t have enough vessels and equipment to support record demand from North America. But replacing ocean transport with air is now becoming more of a necessity for some companies operating in Vietnam.

“With the factories behind on production … it has to move by air because the production schedule is going to be significantly delayed. There’s no way they’re going to be able to put it on an unreliable ocean service” with delivery times measured in weeks, Rosen said. “So everybody wants to flip to air. Vietnam will become a very difficult market very quickly.”
The problem facing many retailers is that Vietnam is the source for a great deal of winter outerwear that can’t be easily substituted with production from another country the way a T-shirt might be. And data from Panjiva, the supply chain research unit of Standard & Poor’s Global Market Intelligence, revealed two of Nike’s Vietnamese sneaker suppliers shut down production in July due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Bob Imbriani, executive vice president of international for Texas-based freight forwarder Team Worldwide, said he is seeing more requests too to secure air capacity out of Vietnam because exorbitant ocean rates and fees have narrowed the normal price gap with air.
Manufacturing plants in the production areas of Ho Chi Minh City and nearby Binh Duong and Dong Nai are having trouble coping with lockdown exemptions, and strict health protocols are limiting the availability of truckers and dockworkers, according to logistics companies and supply chain analysts monitoring the situation.
Local trucking volumes have fallen more than 60% as truckers, who need to show a negative rapid COVID test result within three days, move in and out of restricted zones, Chicago-based SEKO Logistics said in a recent customer advisory. It warned that more positive cases could reduce the pool of drivers and truck capacity.
Slowdowns at Chinese freight hubs, such as the Port of Ningbo and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, attract the most business attention, but Vietnam has grown in recent years as a manufacturing source for U.S. buyers. Since 2010, Vietnam’s exports to the U.S. have quintupled to $77 billion, ranking it as the 10th-largest U.S. trade partner, according to Census Bureau data.

The U.S. began sourcing more from Vietnam in recent years when many manufacturers moved production there because of rising U.S. tariffs on Chinese products and increased labor costs in China.
Top U.S. imports from Vietnam include apparel and footwear, furniture, electric machinery and equipment, and leather goods.
Nineteen provinces are in some form of lockdown, with infections numbering about 3,000 per day. Health authorities in Ho Chi Minh City have extended restrictions, which include curfews and a ban on most public transport, through Sept. 15, according to multiple reports.
Many factories have halted production this month because of difficulty complying with two regulations aimed at ensuring social distancing for workers. The “3-in-1 spot” rule requires production facilities to make accommodations so employees can work, eat and sleep in one location to limit commuting. Under the “1-route, 2-locations” rule, employers must transport workers from the plant to a communal residence, such as a hotel or dormitory, for rest.
SEKO Logistics said fewer than 30% of plants are maintaining full production schedules. Many manufacturers, struggling to find alternative lodging and transportation, and adjust shifts in line with reduced labor availability, are extending production stoppages until Aug. 31 as the lockdowns drag on, May Yimon Aung, a risk intelligence analyst at Everstream Analytics, said via email.

According to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, nearly 90% of the industry’s supply chain has been significantly impacted by the partial lockdowns, with up to 80% of garment and textile companies in the southern provinces completely halting production. In the north, about 20% to 30% of the textile and apparel suppliers have halted production. Similarly, the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City estimated that 27% of its member companies have ceased production, while the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers announced that only 30% of seafood enterprises in the southern provinces remain in operation.

Meanwhile, a large number of migrant workers have left industrial centers and returned to their hometowns, which could lead to a manufacturing labor shortage when the economy reopens, according to local reports.
Last Friday, 90 CEOs of leading U.S. brands such as Adidas, Coach, Gap, Hanesbrands (NYSE: HBI), Nike (NYSE: NKE), VF (NYSE: VFC) and Under Armour (NYSE: UAA) signed a joint letter petitioning President Joe Biden to  accelerate vaccine aid to Vietnam. They argued that quickly restoring Vietnam’s industrial sector will minimize supply chain problems for apparel companies that employ 3 million people in the U.S.
Air capacity challenges
The COVID situation has also reduced air cargo capacity. Social distancing measures and shorter working hours have caused work slowdowns at Ho Chi Minh Airport. Passenger flights that provide extra cargo space are scarce because travel demand is extremely low. Meanwhile, extra airlift is not feasible because authorities have temporarily stopped granting landing rights for ad hoc charter flights, Rosen said.
Cargo airlines with preexisting approvals are flying with two crews on board so that when one disembarks to rest, and is subject to a mandatory quarantine period, another crew is ready to take its place, the EFL executive said. It’s an expensive approach that reduces the number of crews available to fly and is only considered as a last resort by some carriers, but reflects what some shippers are willing to pay to avoid lost sales.
EFL is contracting with five or six airlines for about 20 to 30 charter flights per week to guarantee uplift, especially cargo-only passenger flights, to get customer shipments moved from Vietnam and other parts of Asia to the U.S., Rosen said.

And freight rates are climbing fast. During the early peak season in August, the price to ship by air typically hovers around $4 per kilogram, but it has more than doubled to between $8.50 and $10 per kilogram. Rosen predicted spot market rates will be $15 to $18 per kilogram very soon — a peak only seen at the start of the pandemic when passenger travel evaporated and governments arranged emergency freighter flights to deliver protective medical equipment.
Renting an entire cargo jet from Vietnam to Chicago, for example, now costs at least $1.1 million to $1.2 million, compared to several hundred thousand dollars in more stable periods, he added.
Data shared by TAC Index, which tracks global airfreight pricing, shows a sharp increase in cargo prices for the Vietnam market since the year’s low at the end of June.
There’s more demand than available aircraft from Ho Chi Minh City, but Rosen said EFL is talking with airlines about moving in some capacity and expects authorities to loosen up on landing rights in the next couple of weeks.

Getting charters to Vietnam isn’t easy because many are deployed to China and other major markets, Imbriani added.
EFL is urging customers to quickly provide order forecasts through the end of the year so it can secure blocks of cargo space at contract rates before it disappears and the only recourse is paying market rates for immediate delivery.

“Most of my major customers have made significant commitments through the end of the year already,” Rosen said.
New York-based forwarder Wen-Parker Logistics sometimes trucks freight from northern Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh City because the airfreight rate is almost $1 cheaper than in Hanoi, said Brady Borycki, executive vice president of global business development, in an email.
COVID is also affecting Cambodia, which is complicating land-air shipments via Saigon and Bangkok. The rate from Thailand’s capital has more than doubled from pre-pandemic norms to more than $10 per kilogram, Rosen added.
Port labor shortages
The COVID restrictions have made it difficult for dockworkers and truckers to get to their jobs and slowed productivity at Cat Lai container port in Ho Chi Minh City.
Malaysian news site The Star reported that the work-eat-rest rules have cut the port’s workforce in half, with the container yard throughput lower than usual because there are fewer available stevedores, forklift operators and truck drivers. Imported goods are piling up because shuttered factories aren’t accepting inbound container deliveries.
Yard density has improved in the past week — down from 100% to 85% — after 2,000 containers were cleared. However, 106,700 twenty-foot equivalent units continue to clog the terminal, Everstream said in the email.
To ease congestion, authorities placed a temporary embargo on receiving refrigerated containers and transshipments from Cai Mep and Hiep Phuoc ports to Cat Lai until Aug. 16. Cat Lai also stopped receiving most oversized and overweight cargoes as of Aug. 5, The Star said.
For another week, all inbound vessels must notify the port authority in advance of the estimated volume of imports and empty containers on the vessel before arrival in order to give terminals sufficient time to mobilize the necessary equipment and manpower. Ocean carriers are being advised to divert to other ports, and cargo owners are being instructed to receive their cargoes directly at Cai Mep or Hiep Phuoc ports in the Mekong Delta if they have nearby facilities, Everstream Analytics said in a report last week.
According to shipping giant Maersk, cargo vessel sailings have largely continued as planned, with some departure delays.
Cai Mep is the main deepwater gateway for southern Vietnam. However, due to its proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, shippers have preferred to use Cat Lai. Both ports are facing labor shortages, and the vessel waiting time at both ports, as of last week, is about two to five days, Everstream said.
The supply chain risk analytics firm warned that containers sitting in Cat Lai for more than 90 days are likely to be moved to inland container depots to create space. If the situation gets worse, port officials may impose import quotas or temporarily stop receiving cargo ships.

62 million shares traded within the range of Rs.88 to Rs.102, and new entrants have collected and collecting the share.

Total free float is around 300+ Million for the company including shares held by HNWI as of 30th June which might be sold/held during the period of one and a half months from July to August.

Another 38 Million+ shares to be traded and the Price will reach to Rs.110 and Rs.120 levels in no time.

What can we expect by this share after that ???

"45% of it's revenue is from Air freight and 55% from Ocean freight.

Freight rates have increased almost 50% from First quarter 21/22 rates and are expected to continuously increase during next week and experts say for at least for another couple of months from to date.

So we are looking at Margin increase and volume increase at the same time for not only Expo but for all Logistics companies across the world

This means the PAT Rs.6Bn registered for the first quarter might be the lowest for the year which generated an EPS of Rs.3.22 per quarter.

From the information gathered on new expansion plans and volume secured already through contracts (To retain cargo and maintain favorable rates to the customers they have ventured in to forward contracts) we can expect the next two quarters to be the best and last quarter might or might not retain the same rates.

Re-analyzing the potential of the share in terms of Forecasted EPS and P/E multiples,

Q1 - 3.22
Q2 - 6.00
Q3 - 5.00
Q4 - 5.00

TOT Annual EPS Estimate - 19.22
P/E - 12 times

Potential Target Price - 230
Upside potential of 130%

Edit - When reading above post, Please don't assume above is expected to achive in matter of days or few months.

This might even take an year.

Disclosure - Hold.

May be more than 125 of their earlier target with that share could be move further with massive demand if lock down ristrction govt. Could reduce bit.

Future uncertainty is very high so recommend to avoid future calculation of profit. If they play well it's ok otherwise like another BFL /Tafl/gran etc..
Same gang play very smart so don't believe there calculation and get your own decision.

We are living in uncertainity everyday since March 2020 but that has not stopped us from messaging in the forum and helping each other is it ?

@Tissa - forecasting having difference of opinion is one thing and recommending to not to estimate profit is another. May be you could share your forecast with reasoning.

When i mentioned it's worth at less than 10. People were scared, they are scared again.

But those who kept it are Millionaires now.

Hold your share. The calculation will be realized. In 100 days or 365 days i don't know but the value of the company is far greater than what it is trading now at the market.

Global logistic sector P/E is 20+. And current P/E for a moderately estimated annual EPS is still less than 10 as of today.

Sri Lanka has very low P/E but when ASPI pushes P/E barriers will fall apart. I am still confident of the TP of 230. Matter of time. Not sure on days, months it would take.

If the estimated EPS is not achieved this year then it will be by next year. Keep this share as an investment.

Investors should understand that the, each share having a time. If the earnings are supports, then investor attraction will built and price will react. Further, if they shows Quarter On Quarter growth, then the share price will reaches to its peak. This is Market cycle and No one can stop it. It's Not only Sri Lanka, worldwide all over the markets we see same.

In case of EXPO - they continue its growth. each month they generates 2 Billion Cash. Can imagine with in a month that much of largests money (Last quarter 6 Bn plus). Again I say each month profitability of Sri Lankan Rupees 02 Billion plus. can name any other company in SL. (LOLC comes to 2nd with 4 B. How about JKH/HAYL/SPEN..?)

Also in EXPO - we see top line massive Revenue growth and same as New investments/acqutions /business explanations. This will further helps to their future earnings. Current EXPO price appreciation purely supported by its earnings. Also Investors should do homework on about other Logistic companies around the world during last 12 months. MAERSK, CMA-CGM, XPO, SGH, DHL,.....etc. all of these share prices are now trading in peak with PE's above the 22 plus.
That's why we always say further possibilities on EXPO.

Talking of BFL/TAFL/GRAN - Few years earlier prices were reached to its peak 200/300/400 plus with supported by earnings +investor attraction. later all prices were came down, due to various reasons and saw less investor attractions. This is market cycle and we should intelligent and understand the pattern and trade. I believe again in mostly next year, BFL/TAFL/GRAN can reaches to same levels, once all factors comes to positive.
My advice - understand the pattern and trade.

Thanks

Brother, what is the relevance of Expo to that of LOLC.

Two different sectors and i am assuming different P/E multiples of each sector

They operate in two different business environments

EXPO had an oragnic growth in revenue building customer base over the time but LOLC sold their micro finance arm in Cambodia.

Also in CSE there are growth stocks which usually picks the attention of retailers. I can comment on Expo as a growth stock don't know whether LOLC is one.

Some shares will also have a golden period where if recongized can help you grow your wealth. Expo is in that period now.

I am sure you will learn the differences. Read articles and use CSE. Read Annual Reports.

In time, if you put in effort you will be an excellent analyst.

Don't put a comment on public forum without proper case to back your proposition.

South Asian Reginal Logistic Sector P/E Comparison
==========+++++=====================
Refer,
https://www.ttnews.com/top50/oceanfreight/2021

Only o2 South Asian companies are reserve places in top50 index during 2021.
Number 18 - Allcargo Logistics (Indian Company) - Ocean Container handle Volume 684,000.
Number 49 - EFL / EXPOLANKA (Sri Lanka) - Ocean Container Handle Volume 167,312

If we compare South Asian region logistic sector companies - it is fair to compare EXPO with ALLCARGO INDIA.

# ALLCARGO LOGISTICS (ACLL-Indian Stock Exchange) :
https://www.investing.com/equities/allcargo-logistics
EPS = 9.86
PER = 20.80

# EXPOLANKA (EXPO - CSE) :
https://www.investing.com/equities/expolanka-hldg
EPS = 9.91
PER = 10.14

You will see how long EXPO can go here, if the price adjusting to south Asian P/E.
9 EPS x 20 PER = Rs.180 - Keep eye on.

In minimum best case, 9 EPS x 15 PE is possible.
or either Forward Expectation 12 EPS x 12/15 PE.

At some point, somebody shared the top 20 list of shareholders of expo. I remember NP via a tweet stated that he's not holding expo, and as per the list, it was true, while there were several new HNWI entrants. Does anybody have a recent up to date list 🤔 and where can one find it? Tx
