CFI & CIT will definitely move up along with CFLB. Keep an eye on these two stocks as well.

Happy Trading.

According to the interim financial reports of 2013/14
CFLB group is going on a loss of 408 Mn.
company earnings are 99 Mn but 8 Mn less compare to the previous year.
NAV is 43 but less compare to last year.
Financially not impressive.
But anything is possible with a news driven market.
cheers.!

COLO is doing really well along with a few other companies managed by CFLB...If CFLB goes up CIT and CFI will definitely give you a good ROI....

Though CFLB do not have impressive financials,
technically its trending.
Just MA 5 crossed MA 20.
RSI gradually picking up.
Trend is the friend !

I know that CFLB has many fans, but I am not one of them. When the company shows signs of getting back to profitability, I might change my mind... Until then, I think it would be safer to identify shares that are trending technically and have impressive financials.

CM Holding Dividend is 3/= rs. CFLB is Holding 9.5 million shares of COLO . So they will get around 28 million as the COLO Divi. CFLB has 157 million shares. So they ll Earn 17 cents (0.17 rs.) per share.

My Investing strategy is a bit different, I prefer to buy good counters when their earnings have been depressed reason being the share price will also be down...In my opinion CFLB will do really well in the future may be not right now so based on that I am buying CFI and CIT...

Current Trading prices

CFI: 93
CIT 110

I am more bullish on CIT...

Happy Trading....

According to charts, seems like CLND has formed a double top
( M top ) and going down.
But gradually number of trading volumes increasing.
In current market conditions nothing is valid ( technical or fundamental), its driven by tips. !

CFLB warming up.. Volumes increasing day by day.. Very Happy

As someone pointed out CFLB will get Rs.28 million as dividend from COLO. If they increased the stake of COLO this quarter CFLB may have in huge unrealized profit from COLO capital gain..

My target this time is Rs. 38+

Movement of COLO also will affect CFLB price. NAV more than 42, this should trade above 50....

I was looking at CFLB.N shares and thought it's a good company. But I can't see any interest here about it. It will be great if any expert can give some ideas about CFLB situation .

Do they have any subsidiaries ?

Oh my friend it seems you don't know any thing of CFLB. The following listed stocks are subsidiaries of CFLB directly or indirectly.

LCEY,EBCR,LITE,LDEV,KOTA,MULL,MARA,COLO,SIGV,CIT,CFI,YORK,CWM,BERU

I may have missed one or two. But currently CFLB as a whole making losses. Hopefully this quarter will be better.

It is a good holding company, Take a look at their subsidiaries

C.W. Mackie PLC - 34.62%
Muller and Phipps (Ceylon) PLC - 30.72%
Marawila Resorts PLC - 33.78%
Sigiriya Village Hotels PLC - 41.00 %
Creasy Plantation Management Limited - 24.55%
Laxapana Batteries PLC - 30.90%
Lankem Plantation Services Limited - 36.24%
Agarapatana Plantations Limited - 39.45%
B.O.T Hotel Services (Private) Limited - 48.57%
Beruwala Resorts PLC - 48.57%
York Arcade Holdings PLC - 49.84%

Above companies holds major stakes in following companies

Agrapatana Plantations Limited
Beruwala Resorts PLC
C.W. Mackie PLC and Subsidiaries
Galle Fort Hotel (Private) Limited
Kotagala Plantations PLC
Lankem Developments PLC
Lankem Research Limited
Lankem Tea & Rubber
Plantations (Private) Limited
Marawila Resorts PLC
Sigiriya Village Hotels PLC

So its a well diversified good holding company but there are some reasons to hold it at low prices

- Extreme drought and very heavy rainfall had a direct impact on the profitability of Plantation companies
- The decline in price of natural rubber has also impacted profitability.
- NAV is just Rs. 13/-
- June ended quarterly reports shows a loss of Rs. 10Mn.

According to my knowledge this price is too high to purchase but it has a strength with good portfolio to overcome this situation, Mainly that will depend on how this management do well for the business. So just be watchful it can go either way. May your decision goes right !! Very Happy
