Feb 28, 2011 (LBO) - Lanka Hospitals Corporation, a Sri Lanka listed state-run hospital it made a profit of 105 million rupees in the December 2010 quarter returning from a loss of 12 million a year earlier as revenues rose 50 percent.
Lanka Hospitals Corporation, originally built by India's Apollo healthcare group is now under state-run Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation.
The firm said revenues rose 51 percent to 929 million rupees while cost of services rose 54 percent to 522 million rupees.
For the full year, the hospital is reporting profits of 274 million rupees up from 7.2 million rupees on revenues of 3.1 billion rupees, up from 1.77 billion rupees.
The firm is reporting earnings of 47 cents for the quarter, 1.23 rupees for the full year.
The stock traded at 37.50, Monday in intra-day trade.
