Hi guys,
I am thinking of moving into capital trust or lanka securities from the end of this year or early next year. since Cmy current broker sucks big time. does anyone deal with Capital Trust or Lanka Securities.

1. How good are they, do they force sell without your consent

CT gives a big margin even 100% credit for some known clients.. IMO they should be responsible for the extensive amt of credit we had which in turn has brought the fall of this market..

I dont wanna recommend a broker since various ppl had faced various issues with all broker hutd we have today. Simply put, the broker I have no issues with could be a nuisance to someone else.

Whoever the broker is, as widely expressed above, make sure u deal on your own.. Refer this site and find out the CRAP & GEMS..
Also its better to have on line trading system.

CT & Asha provide DirectFN.. Som others provide CDAX.. DirectFN is a speedy tool to have.

Im not an expert, I started with 'Acuity SB' It was horrible, the staff even the security guy, no friendly at all. They didnt care a shit about a new begininer.

According to some comments some brokers did follow SEC instructions
We talk about RULE OF LAW and appreciate who do not follow rules

I am also looking for a good, ethical broker who can provide well researched forward looking recommendations. I have restricted my search for those who distanced themself from the Brokers Association on the grounds that it was dominated by manipulaters. Do your search your self, ask questions and select one that suits you.

Capital Trust - They also have subsidiaries -Capital Trust Credit and Peoples Merchant Finance which provide margin trading in one hour. I am very grateful that they did not sell our portfolios in the down turn. That is because they do not use bank borrowings and therefore they can hold for any period of time without paniking.

Capital Trust is the only firm which has three Online trading systems- Direct FN , Iron One latest version and Financial Technologies, India. They daily email Technical Analysis summary , Fundamental Analysis , Trade Confirmations, Market Summary etc and have a very helpful help desk.

I generally look at the broker who I deal with rather then the company he works for. If he is honest, ethical and gives me decent advice, that's all i want. And as some one mentioned above, always trade for yourself. Never let them trade for you. There is a conflict of interest for the broker, more turnover means more commission, so they have an incentive to trade more.
