As of 31-03-2012 BAT is holding 33 million shares and SLIC (General fund + Life fund) holds 30 million shares. Up to now 30 million shares traded with a crossing of 8.7 million at Rs 4.70.

What could be the prediction?

- BAT and SLIC are buying/selling.
- Artificial movement by some group.

u r one of the most experience member we have.what u think regard to ECL.again is it going to rock or is this fake run to disposed some big parcel of big shark.
in my view is some big gun open fire to retailers.
open for discussions. Shocked

HMMMMMMMMMMMMM...... yeah funny play... manipulation... but will it go up up and away cause the ASI is also rising.. !!! maybe it might be a win win situation if the rise in ASI keeps up like this. then it would not be a big problem cause once the ASI touches 6000 ECL and BLUE will reach Rs8/- comfortably..

As per the new directives they cant.. But beleive me.. This 10% is a peanut if they ask their clients to be a part of this and up the share till 10+ know? We can never know their motives SLS...
A broker can use few hi calibre investor profiles to bring up buying pressure then our traders and investers get lined up to be a part of the trend.. The rest is history Wink

There was a crossing of 8.7 million shares. Only BAT and SLIC (General + Life fund) holds more than 8.7 million quantity.

1. Either BAT or SLIC likely to be the seller. Rest they may have collected from retailers or BAT/SLIC has sold in the open market.

2. Related party of Capital Trust holding has purchased 8.7 millions from retailers during past months and transfered to Capital Trust holding as crossing (to show ECL is more attractive)

SLIC - Life Fund is seller of 8.7 million shares by crossing. As of my understanding SLIC - Life Fund bought the majority of the share in between March 211 and Sept 2011. Hence, the cost price may be more than Rs 4.70
