Chaos? you seem to be negative for a country that some how survived during times of difficulty. But I agree that they certainly need to do some expense, policy , energy adjustments.

SLStock you stand correct there.. Me too agree I believe US have had lot courageous leaders to take the country onto the right path and face the difficulties with bravery. That's how they became top and they will remain strong.. Never expect them to collapse the way some people think.

So will these countries which are also dependent on US let them collapse? Another point to ponder.
I don't know whether they can be in fore front forever, but they will be a strong force in the world.
