1) Go to the below site
http://money.cnn.com/interactive/investing/best-performing-stock-markets/

2) Click on each dot to reveal each country gains.

Notice how many Asian market indices are in the positive gains this year. Indian and Pakistan, phllipinnes, Thailand all above 20% gain. We are -11% now.

What do you think? If one is having reservation about sri Lankan economy, balance of payment etc look at Pakistan . Read below .

Moody’s downgrades Pakistan’s sovereign credit rating to lowest ever
http://tribune.com.pk/story/407859/moodys-downgrades-pakistans-sovereign-credit-rating/

but Pakistan market is up 33%.

Remember the run from 5000-6000? when bulls comes they take charge. But right now things are going the other direction ( bears in control) due to lack of retailer participation,. But foreigner are collecting.

I think we deserve to end the year at least with less losses. But will it happen? What do you think about all this? Do we deserve to be at this level?

Most of us will say logically we do not deserve for this level, but our country state is indirectly affecting the retail investors even some HNWI'S confidence.( I mean law and order)

From the following link in this forum we can see around 80 countries performance in first 3 quarters.

Notice the number difference between the two lists now. CNN graphics apparently is up to date by Nov 14th.

Also some countries are not present in each list. Ex : Venezuela 200% gain !

Yes sentiments paying games at CSE now more than logic. All this can change suddenly. When I exactly I do not know but economic situation and outlook is better than it was in 2011. anyone has to agree, When good news start flowing it will come one after the other . Just like how bad news happened before to kill the CSE. People will be chasing stocks like nothing. So planning our investment strategy is crucial.

Amazing how Pakistan recovered to greater heights even after some serious doomsday prediction. Check the below chart to see how all can suddenly change
http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/KSE:IND/chart/

Note these positive changes does not happen when everything is rosy, It happens before. Market runs on expectations.

Foreigners are probably selling in Karachchi and buying in Colombo. Smile
