Hi

I joined this forum today, but have been in shares for over 20 years. There are a few brokering companies, but the ideal ones would be if you can have a close relationship with your broker, initially, so he can advise you when you try to place a bid.

I was lucky  with my first broker, and when I tried to get onto the bandwagon, he would actually say "why are you buying that? no ones going to bid any higher" and more times than not, his advice turned out to be correct !!

The following page lists the brokers:
Apparently I can't post links yet.... (this is not good)

I'll copy and paste from the site
doesn't work either....it won't let me post email etc. when security starts interfering with utility....

go to the CSE website and click in the following order
Home » New Listings » Members - Debt & Equity »
MEMBERS

check it out and see their websites to see the services they offer. Online trading is useful to look out for.

DFN is a software which you can use for you trading. You can buy and sell shares without a broker once you have the facility. You have to get DFN through broker. My broker is Capital Trust. They provide DFN once you open up the account with them.

My brokers are asia securities and asha philips,According to my experience asha philips don't care about small investers and they don't provide a DFN to small investers.(CDS account value must be more than Rs150000 or Rs 200000)I'm not remember actual  figure about that..
But Asia securities provide DFN to all investers and better to all investers..

DFN is a computer software.Through DFN,we can trading without broker's help,You can buy or sell in your self...

Don't jump on DFN and online trading softwares mate.. You dont know about market and will be driven by emotion to buy shares which mostly manipulated counters.. Better refrain on-line tradings for first six months at-least... All brokers are having pros and cons. Its all about your adviser not about broker firm... Better u register one of the broker who listed in CSE and learn from urself if u have courage.. Stop believing guys talk in da mkt, if u couldn't do it most days u will walk to ur house..
Wish u a good luckkk...

Welcome to the forum.

Good brokers provide userfriendly software such as DFN, Research Reports & friendly staff to assist you and they also charge reasonable interest rates on unsettlled balances. Visit their websites & talk to them in order to find out their services on the above lines. You can have several accounts with a number of brokers and close accounts as you wish if they are not up to the standard. You have to take this decision yourself.

Good Luck!
