Banking. Automobile. Plantations.

For the next few quarters keep away - gold prices have affected banks, tax increase has affected vehicle imports and weather has affected plantations.

Concentrate on under-valued companies which are expected to show good profits in near future - such as TKYO, KAPI, HHL, EXPO and TJL

I would BUY GOLD now that's the safest investment anyone could think of.

Mr. Modi is speaking tough. Our president will have tough time ahead.

If we keep away from above groups what are the other value groups available in the CSE? Is gold going to go down next 10 years? Is Sri-Lankan banks deal only gold? What about their other business? Are they going to increase tax almost every month? Is bad weather permanent? Need to study climate change during next 20 years. Now I believe some of the biggest gains will come from above three groups during next six months to five years. In addition above three groups have some of the lowest P/E ratios in the market. For example plantation, banking and auto(MOTOR) have p/e ratio of 5.2, 9.1 and 7.4 respectively.

I agree with you. and I am with you. there is lot of publicity for banking these days. I have a feeling our members will fall in to traps. but we are outnumbered.
Banking sector is good in Sri Lanka but we should take our focus to rest of the value stocks as well.

I don’t think it is a promotion. Balance has posted his portfolio. Why everybody want to be in forums? Because they want to discuss or want read and get some ideas about stocks. We should do our home work to buy and sell stocks. In a bull market some of above stocks and many stocks will have above average returns.

Thank you for your support. Obviously everyone talks about the shares they think are best and they would buy the shares they think are best

But I actually dont own any shares and even if I did - I would just give my opinion and wouldnt advise anyone to follow my strategy or give recommendations. do your own research, people

Some people have mentioned rubbish shares probably because they are stuck in them and bought on margin. At least I only mention good shares trading below sector pe based on good fundamentals
