Yes. As I said before just like in Indian bourse tea stocks such as MADU, MASK, TPL, BOPL, BALA, UDPL, MPRH, NAMU etc all will go up. Why? Higher attractive tea auction prices for quality tea, great value and global outlook for tea as a emerging commodity. Enjoy your pure healthy tea coming from high grown and mountain. RI LANKA TEA PRODUCTION – JUNE 2014
Sri Lanka tea production for the month of June 2014 totalled 30.7M/kgs vis-à-vis 24.8M/kgs of 2013, showing a gain of 5.84M/kgs. All elevations have shown a growth YOY with High Growns in particular recording a significant gain of 3M/kgs or a 67% growth YOY.
January – June 2014 cumulative production totalled 172.5M/kgs vis-à-vis 174.06M/kgs of 2013, showing a marginal decrease of 1.5M/kgs. On a cumulative basis only High Growns have shown a growth YOY, whilst Low Growns and Medium Growns show a marginal decline YOY as detailed on page No. 15
When analyzing the CTC production for the month of June 2014 of 1.7M/kgs, show a gain of 0.5M/kgs vis-à-vis 1.2M/kgs of June 2013 with all elevations showing a growth YOY.
January-June 2014 cumulative production however of 10.3M/kgs show a negative growth of 1.2M/kgs vis-à-vis 11.5M/kgs of 2013. High and Medium Growns have shown a marginal decline whilst Low Grown’s have shown a growth compared to the same period of 2014. (See more details on page No. 15)

Exports for the month June 2014 totalled 30.6M/kgs vis-à-vis 24.8M/kgs of 2013, showing a growth of 5.8M/kgs. Tea in packets, tea in bags and tea in bulk have shown a growth in 2014 compared to the corresponding period of 2013. Total revenue too for the month of June of Rs. 19.8B show a gain of Rs.5B vis-à-vis Rs.14.8B realized in June 2013.
January-June 2014 cumulative exports totalled 157.4M/kgs vis-à-vis 144.3M/kgs of 2013, showing a gain of 13.1M/kgs. Here again tea in bags and tea in packets have shown a growth YOY whilst tea in bulk remained static. Total revenue realized for the period January-June 2014 of Rs. 104B too show a gain of Rs. 17.3B vis-à-vis Rs. 86.7B realized during the same period of 2013.
CIS has emerged as the largest importer followed by Turkey and Iran. Iraq, UAE, Syria and Kuwait are the other noteworthy importers whilst Libya too has shown a significant increase in imports during the 1st half of 2014 when compared to the corresponding period of 2013.
