Please go via this Calculation and try to earn lot in two days.... assume the worst scenaro of vpel...stil u are in profits..... you bought 100,000 shares of vpel.n at 7.50 on ,24th, total cost is 757,500.( with charges )..then you sold it on 25th at 7.30 = your income = 722,700...so your loss from trading is rs.35,800...but you wil be entitled to a dividend of rs.50,000...stil u r in profits from two day investment after selling it to a loss of 20 cents per share... if you can buy it below 8.00 tomorrow and sell it 7.80 0n 25 th still it will be a profit making,risk free investment... think,calculate and do what you need to do..cheers

until Buying price is below 10 rupees your breakeven selling price is 30 cents below your buying price.. if you can sell at ( buying proce - 30 cents ) still you are in profits...

is this formula correct the reason i ask is i had RAL when dividend was announced and sold it few days later so does this mean that i still get divident

Ral is a Different Scenario..
Ral Mkt Price 4.20 - Dividend 10 Cents , Yield - 2.00%
Vpel Mkt Price 6.70 - Div - 50 Cents , Yield - 7.00%

After you pay 1.50% for charges, you have a profit of 5.50% if you can sell at the same price....
If you are selling at a 30 Cents Lower Price,Still You can gain something from Two Days...
Thats the Value of this Dividend...
My Suggestion is Upto 9.00 Ruppes this will be a Good Investment for a Good,Quick Thinking Investor...

This is wrong though they have declared devident you Buy and Sell -You are not entitled for Devedend Unitill the XD date -You need to keep the shares Till it get XD and on the day that it goes XD the price will for sure come down ..

Just think if not for 1 share how many times the company will have to pay devident ..
