- A huge loan was given to former minister at very low interest rate and not recoverable.

- Preferred bank for investment of Senior Citizen's savings

- People bank to merge with PLC this year.

- big dividend to be declared soon.

People's Bank cannot merge with PLC, that is absolute nonsense.

Moreover, PLC has seen quite a significant withdrawal of deposits as senior citizens switched from NBFIs to Banks for higher rates.

Oh and the reason for this decline is an investigation on PLC relating to commission paid in order to attract CEB Provident Fund deposits. This I believe will soon be resolved, just that the authorities will have to understand how business happens practically.

Raider is correct. It never merge with PLC. Employees of PLC are spreading of this news.
