CDB cannot pay higher interest rates on FDs like other smaller Finance Companies. depositor base in beyond the limit set by the CBSL.

This has reduced the income of interest revenue drastically. Too bad for this company. Only way is expand their other avenues of business. Anyway leasing is reaching a saturation point.

Biggest loan takers were the tri shaw guys and motor cycles followed by Battas and the crap.

Loan defaults are increasing!
