After PANASIAN POWER PLC announced there Interim Dividend of Rs.0.25 per share, PAP.N was bullish rally. Today two times system stuck at price 6.90 and 8.00. Both time oder book is not showing at DFN TWS and my broker predict price band applied, but it wasn't. Finally when market closed CSE applied price band to PAP and experts what is your idea about PAP.N after Price band?

Thanks !

I think this laregly depends on the future plan of the people who pushed the price today to those unsustainable limits...If they have already passed this on to retailers, this may start to come down from tommorow. Otherwise they will keep pushing until they manage to unload these to retailers.

That was not a system stuck man.Generally all (except those shares under band) the shares are allowed to move maximum of 50% on a particular day. that's why there were no sellers above 6.90 (50% up from the previous close) but again they allowed till 8.20 which is 80%, then they allowed up to 100%, I don't know why this has happened.

I have spoken to brokers at SKM, Bartleets, Acquity, LS and CT. They are all saying this share will be up continuously for 10 percent in the next few days; this is crazy. They are saying some big names have bought heavily at 7.60 and 8.10. Some are predicting that this will hit 15 bucks. I missed the CLND bus and I am tempted to take a punt in the morning but a part of me is saying to stay away. What do you guys think.

It's your money, so if you are smart enough to take the risk, then entitle for the reward also

At the rate things are going only MEGA players will have enough collateral to invest in IPO's and all the retailers will be stuck with bad buys into overpriced shares. There are plenty of them floating around on the CSE. Just wait and see.

I think that studying accountancy, reading books on trading by the best of GURU's will not help any in their trading on the CSE. One need's to be street wise and unemployed with plenty of time on hand to play the CSE.

Where will the prosperity of Sri Lanka be in a few years time?
The money will fly out of the country!!

If it moving up Vbel also move, I conceded Vbel is less risk compare to PAP due to many reason such as up coming Villibel one, DP syndrome etc..

I can understand Rs 6.00 per PAP share because of their EPS 0.34 and the dividend of Rs 0.25. But i think today big boys pushed the price up, you may remember few crossings happen 2-3 months ago, millions of shares were crossed at 3.80-3.90 can't remember the exact numbers. So i think people who collected heavily on those days waited to push the price up. They got a great chance today with dividend announcement. Retailers were misled easily by showing the dividend announcement. Today 367 million shares were traded so i think big names may have already sold most of their shares. But there is an another thing about who those shares were bought. If big investors bought today they will push the price further up until all the shares have been transferred to retailers/People who cant manipulate the market. So this is a real gamble....

Hay Guys ...,

My dream was came true...I had a question why this shre is not moving... Now it was successful. According to CSE all share should be under Price band ...it can go up 50% of previous closing price. If that particular company want to move their share price at the certain rate, that company has to get approval from CSE.. That why 80 Million shares traded at 6.00 ... Therefore tommorow will bw agood day for Pap...

Good luck
