More Info about this RISK: Don't fall into traps, found some background about KZOO from somewhere else too.

Total number of shares of Kalamazoo is 50,000

If any one buy the whole lot at Rs 1067.70 he has to spend

Rs 1067.7*50,000 = 53,350,000

That is 53 Million

I remember Wapo had similar situation and it was mentioned that being an investment company Rs 100 Million is a small value and the owners wanted to sell but before selling they declared a superb dividend. The offers came to buy the company was so low that the owners went to a rights issue.. It all happened in a bubbling market and What SLS is saying has happened.. Many got burnt and never to look at CSE.. This is what SLS want to prevent taking place again

Kalamazoo is a company used to print ledger books, ledger sheets and the company was long dead with the spread of spread sheets.

However a company during " dog stage " ( thats negative growth in Product Life Cycle ) prefers " harvesting" ( that is cutting the crop with adding no fertilizer )

Thus Kalamazoo operated the printing house. I remember the only yellow colour van they maintained for a long period to deliver printed articles.

Kalamazoo is located in Chittamplam A Gardiner Mawatha , and that's where ancestors of Ceylon Theaters operated. Regal Film hall, Ceylon Printers, Kalamazoo is located near by and belonged to the same family. Kalamazoo and Ceylon Printers operate in the same building thus I do not know whether the building belong to Kalamazoo or Ceylon Printers..or any other company of the family. if so that is the only real asset they own the land and old building. Ceylon Printers is also operating another dying business of Olympia type writers, servicing of analogue cash counting machines ( which are outdated with digital cash counting machines ) . This building operates out dated technological proudcts and when ever I visited I felt like going back time tunnel. The furntire and wooden planks sticked inside the walls, all warned me the possible down fall of the company I can not really assign a reason to why this property is not used for a good purpose.

Again at the Market Value of Rs 53 million if the land is included that is a good investment.

What ever the motive of buying Rs 53 Million is not sufficient to run a business. Definitely there will be a rights issue. I normally dont like to subscribe for any rights for a company that has never paid a dividend.

As per the CSE announcement the acquisition of 19.52% and 10.86% were done on a slash account and the buyer appear as

Seylan Bank PLC / W D N H Perera

That means there will be another company where the top is on margin facility...

So its BUYER BEWARE situation...
