Hope for the best guys... if ASI reach 6800 after 1st week of May, with IMF boost, VFIN around 75/= is a sure guess...

I expect a dividend more than Rs 3 this time... that is in June and should boost the momentum of the share...

No doubt with strong customers’ base, at present, VFIN is doing well. Technically the numbers given may be basically reachable in slight plus/minus variations. Similar to VFIN many overlooked counters hang in the market in the past because of unseen market stimulus. Investors are looking for set of actions (stimulus) from government, central bank, market regulators etc. that is intended to encourage activity & growth in the economy thereby naturally the capital market. Despite anything to the contrary the market flows in cyclical pattern varying to day to day exposures.

very much undervalued share. Even though dividend payout is low company has been developing at a rapid rate for the last 2 1/2 yrs. Market price appreciation that has happen for the last two yrs shows that. (from 30 to 60). Nearly 50% yield per annum if you take last 2 yrs. 

For me this is a good stock to hold but i wont expect any major price appreciation short to medium term due to unfavorable factors happening to finance sector these days. I can see there top line and bottom line getting stagnant or minor decline.
My reasoning is based on that most of the finance companies grew there loan portfolio through leasing. Right now leasing business has come to a drastic low levels. some finance companies 1yr FD rates has gone up by nearly 200-300bps when compared with last yr rates. one of my friends leasing interest rate has only gone up by 150bps, so you can see that there margin will be squeezed further.

as expected good counter like seylan showed that there bottom line growth has stagnated. Expect the same for most the banking and finance shares upcoming report. There margin has squeezed and treasury net trading results has dragged down there profitability.

PLC bottom line also has decreased by 5%. Don't expect profit growth from most of the finance n banking companies for the last qtr and upcoming qtrs.

Jayathu, do not compare PLC with most other Finance Companies,specially with LFIN,VFIN,CFIN,..Recent changes in taxes,ltv mostly affected to unregistered vehicle biz..So wait and see the difference between financial.

even i think it will remain in this level for a while unless ASI goes up. current situation s not gud enogh for vfin to beat the mkt.But so many positive factors abt vfin for someone to keep in his PF such as
Directors keep on buying shares from da mkt,they continously increase their branch network,under a gud management, they provide a gud service,can see a clear growth in company in all sectors etc
further, their chairman want to see all his companies generating 1bn + profit.so vfin also workong for dat target

I hold this from May 2015 and will not sell until this reach Rs 100 or see a split announcement...
