They are going to give retailers 20M. Definitely there will be more than 20K applications. Then how can they divide it by their minimum allocation mentioned in the pros? Impossible!

It is true. we saw more than 24000 application received for SOFTLOGIC IPO to retail sector. if come same amoun of application they cant give minimum shares.
20,000,000/24000 = 833 then they will allocate 833shares and balance will be refunded.
this is red light to those who apply on others ID,Accounts

why it is a red light. They will refund the balance right??? common for all IPOs right??

In no where in BRWNs IPO it says they are going to give allocate 100 shares? where did you get the idea ? They will most probably allocate something less than 1000 shares to most!

Just because there is a minimum applying amount that does not mean they are going to give you the minimum applying amount !! People here need to understand that basic a lot! I always see these types of stuff cropping up here

In recent Hydro power free lanka IPO minimum applying limit was 2000 shares and they allocated 1000 shares only to most!!

WHY DON'T YOU READ THE PROS AGAIN?
Refer (Page 5) 5.4 - 'Share Offer Price and Minimum Subscription' Before Commenting blindly.

The minimum subscription of 1000 shares will be allotted to all successful applicants.
-Page 5 5.4 - 'Share Offer Price and Minimum Subscription'

Yes, ansar is right. Prospectus does say that. Section 5.4. Give him a + rep. I can't. At least this will add up to my 100 posts.

sigh...sad and pathetic that self proclaimed english experts are unable to READ and comprehend.
@Ansar is referreing to page 5 on the prospectus which clearly says "The minimum subscription of 1,000 shares will be allotted to all successful applicants".
whether they can deliver on the promise is another matter but hats off to ansar for clearly providing the source unlike self proclaimed "always 100% accurate expert" who seems to be unable to follow his own advice and READ.
It's pointless arguing with the self proclaimed 100% accurate expert since he is always correct but for those of us who can read it seems that ansar is the smart one here and it is someone else who is "stupid and trying to be the one on the internet". Follow your own advice dude learn to READ.

Prospectus says that they will allocate minimum subscription ie 1000shares to all successful applicant....then if number of retail applicant exceed 20000 they have to get from non retail catogary or they have to find out reason to reject the excess amount..... Question

No I you should learn to read also! AS i mentioned same thing happened before this and allotted shares were less than the minimum subscribed amount! Just because your promoting and campaign at the expense of small investors was pointed out is no reason to keep insulting me and giving negative rep!! OFC you seems to be always wrong specially about the rubber prices Lets wait and see if more than 20k applicants apply for the issue how they going to allocate 1000 shares each as the big moderator/ promoter posts here!

It seems that some people cant read following two sentances of Innam's post.

Prospectus clearly says "The minimum subscription of 1,000 shares will be allotted to all successful applicants".

' whether they can deliver on the promise is another matter' Very Happy

Regardless of the actual allocations that the company can be made, company has stated of allocating 1000 shares which is the minimum.
Therefore if more than 20K applications come in, it would be allocated from the next category.
Worst case, they'd go for a minimum 800 at least.

I still dont understand why reading a simple statement like ansar's one is still complicated.
To me this is like someone hastened on replying a post to show supremacy and got busted in the line Wink Laughing

20mil means not the maximum for the retail category, is it?
obviously not all will apply for only 1000 shares.
if it exceeds, as smallville said will be allocated from Unit trust category and if that too is inadequate, from the balance 50%
