couple of things to note
-investments trusts are generally valued on NAV
-this "analyst" has given a PE of 26 and expects continous EPS levels (continous buying and selling of companies)
-he assumes that someone will pay 109 for DPL and 3000 for PHAR, just because foolish retailers pay that much it is difficult to imagine big boys are foolish to pay and buy DPL at that price, given that original owners are dumping it on to the market at 50 levels

i'm not wasting time on the pros and cons of this ticker but just answering the magical optimistic scenario assumed by this "analyst"

@slstock this seems to be the relevant article
http://forum.srilankaequity.com/t5996-determining-a-companys-future-sale-price-is-impossible-eri#40499

readers should note that the writer of this article comes out 2-3 times a year and pushes the tickers-just do a google search of his name (he seems to be a shareholder of DPL-look at the DPL shareholder list)
note that this guy gave a price of 150 for DPL in the past

Ah Yes the bi-annual antics of Mr KAS Perera. Thanks Innam.

"It also shows staggering theoretical price of Rs.348 on the basis of PE of Rs.26.76 for the investment trust sector on 17.6.11"

Oh come on now Mr Perera, you can do better than this to convince us. Since when should we take high as PE of 26.6 in this claimed over valued market. That too in incorrect as Investment trusts go by Net Assert Values ( as Innam mentioned).

If we go with the same analysis by you , do you know a reputed company "since 1866" should be valued at Rs 389 and is trading below GREG price.
