Can I deposite money to CDS account by putting money to Broker's bank account ??

Does Capital trust provide this facility ?? As I know Asha Philips only accepts money if we go to there office and deposit or we can pay by cheque. But as I heard Captital Trust provide to deposit money to there Savings Account at banks and they say they will update our CDS within 24 hours is it true??

I am afraid you're wrong about Asha Phillips. They accept direct payments via some banks. I am transferring money without leaving my PC.

Is there any one who have experienced which they take more than 24 hours to update your CDS account ??

Actually that's what they say about depositing money. When I called them, they told me that I have two options first one is you can hand over money to their office and other option is I can post a cheque to their company ??

That is possible.
Even if you pay at the bank, most of the time broker will get a statement from the bank at the end of the day. So there is a person at brokers end manually updating your CDS he following morning.

what i do is deposit the money to their sampath account and fax them the slip copy, they update the account ASAP

Yes you are right. Withing 24 hours they update the PF. I fax my slip. They are good at it.

It depend on your broker and their banker.My best is capital trust + comb bank
-Open comb bank savings ac and get internet banking.
-Send all ur money to COMB A/C (Income, Salary, etc,etc)
-U can trf to Capital trust when ever u need (through COMB internet banking)
** My bank is HNB , they do not have this facility with Capital Trust, I am using my wifes ac and put my ID no at TRX narration** (So far no family problem)

My Broker is Asia Securities, all i do is to deposit the money, fax the deposit slip and give a call to the broker. They do it within an hour.

There is a technical side to that and a b'cratic angle too.

Still some companies are not into automated systems fully.'
Some Accountant want there signature on every document and do not trust little people with slips.

Capital trust wont take 24 hours at around 8.30 I go to sampath bank and deposit money to their account and fax or E-mail a scanned copy of the slip to the account division. My profile is updated before the trading started.

Once I found they have credited 1000 less of my deposit and I was able to correct is within the day with just one phone call.

But I deposit money last morning around 10.30 and still they haven't update it. I also fax that slip to their account division (But I have done that today morning). Unfortunately my broker says that it will updated in next Monday ?? Mad

Yes, I transfer money through sampathvishwa(the new web interface of sampath bank). Transfer is almost instant, then you have to take a screen shot of the confimation message and mail it to your broker. after that it is your brokers responce time.

Err -- My broker is ASHAPHILIPS :

And I deposit the money to their account , with my NIC as narration and that's it NO Phone Calls / NO Faxes anything , gets updated within the day .

But still trying to figure out a way to do the reverse... I mean BROKER sending directly to my account , We'll see .

PS - With Sampath "VISHWA" you can send the money online to the below brokers :

ACUITY STOCKBROKERS (PVT) LTD
ASHA PHILLIP SECURITIES LIMITED
CEYLINCO STOCK BROKERS (PVT) LTD
J B SECURITIES (PVT) LTD
S C SECURITIES (PVT) LTD

And when it comes to other BROKERS you can set up them as personal payees IF you know the account number and some other details . SO its an easy task...

No you can deposit to Asha phillip's Sampath bank account.
