Sri Lanka growth to pick up to 6.8-pct in 2013: World Bank

මේ වසරේදී මෙරට ආර්ථික වර්ධනය සියයට 7.5 ක් වනු ඇතැයි ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව පුරෝකතනය කරද්දී ලෝක බැංකුව පවසා තිබෙන්නේ එම වර්ධනය සියයට 6.8 ක් පමණ විය හැකි බවයි.

කෙසේවෙතත්, මෙම වර්ධනය ගිය වසරේ වූ සියයට 6.5 ක ආර්ථික වර්ධනයට වඩා වැඩි අතර විදේශීය ඉල්ලුම, කෘෂි නිෂ්පාදන ඉහළ යාම වැනි හේතු නිසා වර්ධනය ඉහළ යනු ඇතැයි ලෝක බැංකුව පවසා ඇත.

2015 වනවිට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ආර්ථික වර්ධනය සියයට 7.2 ක් පමණ විය හැකියැයි ලෝක බැංකුව සඳහන් කර තිබෙන අතර පසුගියදා ලංකාව විසින් සිදුකළ ප්‍රතිපත්තිමය වෙනස්කම් ඉදිරි වර්ධනයට යහපත් ලෙස බලපානු ඇතැයි සඳහන් කර තිබේ.

2011 මැද භාගයේ සිට ලංකාව ගෙවුම් ශේෂ අර්බුදයකට ඇද වැටුණු අතර එයට විසඳුම් ලෙස පසුගිය පෙබරවාරියේදී බැංකු පොලී අනුපාතය වැඩි කිරීමටත්, විනිමය අනුපාතය නිදහසේ තීරණය වීමටත්, ඛනිජ තෙල් මිල ගණන් වැඩි කිරීමටත් රජය පියවර ගත්තේය.

Hm......
Does any body think Gov. will reduce the Vehicle import taxes with in next 5 months time. I am waiting buy a vehicle but Gut feeling and all the available charts says that w can expect a Tax cut and also a Interest rate cut .

[b]Import duty cut - possible reasons[/b]
1) Gov. income also down drastically due to the demand elasticity of vehicles.
2) BOP crisis seems over and Gov. expecting a positive balance for 2013.
3) Pressure from the people like me is quite high. ha ha
4) It is a good time to repeat the cycle again
