As at 30.06.2011 Perpetual Capital (Private) Limited is holding 1,654,200 (10.34%) BFL shares & Perpetual Asset Management (Pvt) Limited is holding 167,500 (1.05%) BFL shares.
Why this massive investment......?
Will they increase or dispose this year...?
Will BFL publish massive EPS during comming quarters....?

They being holding it for quite a while now not just for last quarters BFL report! I bet no one told them about Mr Laxana Abandoning the boat and dumping the shares on ignorant people like you around Rs 450-500!

Hi you know even Laugfs holding also have some great GRAN shares and also EPF! Go ask them why they bought those shares around rs 230-250!

If I can remember correctly Mr Wegodapitiya recently said that there are so many manipulators in the market.
No wonder why he is moaning when he bought these shares at the top..

Luckily EPF bought some of laugfs shares from him recently. Those days people didnt afraid to buy shares soon after a government fund bought a company shares. Retailers were ready to pay even a small premium for that.

However now things has changed people too scared to invest in a company where a government fund bought any shares.

Government funds invest in for long term basis. They dont do day trading or sort term investments. They got a team of expertise to analysis future growth and prospectus of a particular company. They will sell laugh and gran shares in 2014 or 2015 with a massive capital gain,a gain which they cant get from any other investment tools.

Good work think9.. Very valuable hard work..
Perpetual also has marked many good investment oppertunities it seems.. Only problem is they entered TAFL @ high and GRAN too again at a high and got stuck with those but on balance avg they seem to be having no problem of it.. At one point this market would go up and chicks would also do well in coming qtr due to seasonal effect..
