Does anyone know the criteria to become a director of a listed company ??

I know there's a possibility of being appointed to the director board without holding a single share in the company, how are these appointments done ??

Is it the decision of the existing director board to appoint a director , or is it done by the voting of the shareholders ??

What percentage of total shares of the company should you hold to get into the director board , based on the share amount you hold ??

Does this criteria vary from one company to the other ??

If you become a model like " SL Praba" {with good connections} one stands a better chance without owning shares.
One does not need brains to be one.

However, males cannot enter the board room this way. It has to be a combination of Brains / Clout / Cash.

The easiest way is You can get a Power of Attorney from a Company Director to work on behalf of him during the Actual Director is Abroad.
First you make a close relationship with an existing Director.
Upon the trust he will appoint you as the acting Director for a short period.

Directors are appointed by the shareholders, as their wish who can ride for benefit of the company. (Voting shares decide)
