Believe in what you see not what you hear. I told you what I saw and acted based on what I saw. So I am well off. But still I think market may bounce back and touch 6400-6500 level. In the previous bear market rallies also the market did not shoot up to the peak in single stretch. So this may not be the end and the small bull bay have some life left to drag on further.

We are now in the third bear market rally . That rally is struggling to touch the resistance somewhere between 6400 and 6500. It may somehow touch that level in due course. That is what I can say depending on current technicals. Things may change any moment for better or worse. This rally may take about 5 months to complete( to touch 6500level and fall below 5800 level)Then the market has to restart from there. Lets see.

@wikum100.. with out thinking of the loss, with out avaeraging to cover the loss, play in this condition with new shares with small profit when the bull run.. so from that you can cover at leaset your loss... Very Happy

As long as we have governments with drug dealers and people who haven't even got A/L leading the country the Sri Lankan economy will keep sinking! (So would the CSE in long run)

Foreign funs that are left are cashing out in a hurry thanks to the great economic policies!

Speculation is rife that Sri Lanka may further devalue the rupee in early 2012, to ward off pressure on the country’s balance of payment and subsequently strengthen the external sector. “Sri Lanka may devalue the rupee from 2.5 to 3 percent in the early part of 2012, probably between February and April” a Treasury Department source said on the grounds of anonymity. If this devaluation takes place, the rupee might end up at Rs.118 level against the dollar. The country devalued its rupee by 3 percent quite unexpectedly through the 2012 budget presented in last November

Re: Sri Lankan Trade Deficit Widens In October
by Tiger on Sat Dec 24, 2011 9:06 am

The CA deficit could be narrowed in the coming months owing to devaluing the rupee, rising interest rates, (and expecting foreign borrowing by some financial institutions) . If the gap doesn't narrowed down we could see another round of currency devaluation in around March 2012. According to me another devaluation is inevitable given the fact that Indian rupee has lost 30% over past three months. Unless exchange rates were adjusted slowly we will be heading to exchange rate problem again as experienced in 2009.

I believe LKR needs to be devalued at least 10-15% within next 12months. Leading up to this won't be so attractive at CSE.
