Remember the times when ASI was 7500, but why??

We had a chicken run
Greg was manipulated to rs100 levels
interest rate was 6-7% then
rubber prices was rising
we did not have over priced ipos
we did not have an expropriation law

But now?

everything's the opposite. still ASI is 5900

we didn't experience a crash it was only a correction.

specially interest rates on the rise.........

expect the unexpected......

Question

Cash gives boom. Credit gives holding power.
Both are useful

What about business performance? Do we see extraordinary profits in core businesses for extraordinary share prices?
People may not know but behind each of those stock symbols is a real company in Sri Lanka. It's true. You can check.

unless they bring in 5-10Bn cash and invest without pushing up the prices nothing would change.

But still it's not a long term solution.

macro economic fundamentals should change........

specially the interest rates.......

Company performance is one of the major factors. But even the company performance is exceptional , selling price of the company could be much less than actual value , if interested buying parties don't having money.

How come these people think their pension fund would waste their money on these shares? You think EPF buying more will boost the market? For how long? day? weeks? Isn't the EPF our pension money? We're the losers when EPF destroys our money. Big players dump their worthless shares to your pension fund. You lose anyway.
