There is an unofficial rumor about a fuel price hike in near future.

Diesel will be 19/- and petrol 9/- or some amount around 10/-

Government recently announced that they do not allow to any change of bus fares until to 2013.

Also they have been given a 20% increment even though the unions required a 17% increment.

Please confirm anyone knows anything regarding this.

I was wondering are there any official rumours too?

Why to worry about things that we have no control.

We squander the chances that we can control things and they cry about is no use.

Even if it goes to Rs 200/= same number of vehicles will be on roads a day later and where people get money to meet such changes, I always wonder ! Very Happy

Well according to the minister, 93% (or nearby figure) of our imports were from a country where US has recently put their destructive foot prints.. Discussions are still underway to import fuel from middle-east and the stocks wont last till then it seems..

Sigh!! I wonder when can the respective authorities held discussions and take an action..In near future we'll have to peddle to the work place Wink then the bicycle prices would also be doubled, better buy one now.. Wink

There were couple of hints, from some politisions that the recent price hike was not enouhg to cover the current prices.

The depreciating rupee is also playing a vital part on this pricing.

I don't agree that they should not increase diesel prices but should come up with a practical, effective subsidies system for the needy parties.
