We show renewed interest for MELS yesterday and I thought of sharing some important details about this share and why most investors are keen on this share recently.

It is the only diversified company having over 10 % annual dividend yield (10.7%) and less than 1 book value (0.72)

This is a very good share for long term holding and recent interest also indicates very healthy short term price gains as well .

without leisure sector it's performance is very good and if leisure sector rebound it has vast potential.

we saw today price appreciation of HNB. MELS 9th share holder is MELS. All banks reported healthy growth.

Some public institutions are more concerned about Indices than the value of stocks

Speculative investors who want to make money with in short period also go after
some stocks depending on market demand

Therefore people do not consider the hidden value of MELS

MELSTACORP (MELS) is one of the most undervalued conglomerate currently trading at LKR 60.20 per share at a low PER of 3.21X on forecast earnings and 30% discount to Book Value or PBV of 0.69X
