This is one of the good step taken Lanka Securities to attract islamic investors from local and overseas. Recently Bombay stock exchange also came up and similar step and got possitive output. Hope this will work in CSE too.

They are using three following criteria

· The Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI)

·[size=9] The Dow Jones Islamic Market Index[/size]

· ICP Shairah Screening Methodology

as per ICP website the purpose of the white list is to distill stocks that are suitable for investment from those conscious of ethical and religious beliefs when investing

My view is that it is interesting to see investors keen on White list. More investors show interest in this = more cleaner healthier Sri Lanka.

HI , its very subjective , simple answer is those among performers . note that whitelist is not a performance indicator . it is a screening criteria.

yes it is in the White list and preference shares is not allowed as the dividend is fixed
